Your Personal Horoscope 2016 Paperback – June 4, 2015

Save your money. First off, you need to know your Rising Sign (Ascendant) for this book to be of any use at all. If you are, say, born with Sun in Leo, and you read that section for its prognostications, but your Rising Sign is other than Leo, you won't gain any benefit. What the author has done is simply placed your Sun sign -- in this case Leo -- on the Ascendant, and is interpreting the planets in the other houses accordingly. But if you have, say, Pisces rising, then all of the placements and prognostications for Leo are wrong. You need to read the Pisces Sun sign section to get an accurate placement of the planets. That said, astrology is much more complex than what this book is giving you. I have studied it for many, many years -- you need an accurate birth chart (go to Astrodienst website and you can calculate and print it for free), you need the up-to-date progressions for that birth chart (one day after birth = one year of life, etc.), and then you need to superimpose the transiting (as they now exist in the sky) planets on top of that to get any kind of reasonable assessment of what the year ahead will hold.

Mr. Polansky's yearly book is one that I have sought out and bought every single year for the last 10 years. It's been spot on in my life, and I find it a really valuable tool for looking forward, and seeing what's coming on the horizon. The last few years I've even purchased it by pre-ordering it before it's even available……it's THAT good. As soon as I get it, I sit down and read the year ahead section, the general overview, which is really helpful….and then I go through the month by month sections for both my sun sign and my rising sign. I absolutely love this book and I highly recommend it.

I've been a fan of this series for several years, but noticed several inaccurate calculations in his forcasts. The September 1st eclipse for example is in Virgo, not Pisces. In the section for Pisces for the month of September he states, "The solar eclipse of the 1st occurs in your own sign and you're personally very affected by it." He goes on to tell of the problems likely to occur for a Pisces due to this eclipse. So all these problems are based on an inaccuracy. Of course as another reviewer mentions, these forecasts are based on a "solar" chart which places the sun sign in the first house. Most of us have our ascendent in a different sign from our sun sign. But reading the section based on your ascendent sign can be helpful for general information, but finding these errors makes even that of little value and can do more harm than good.

I usually find this an amusing read every year. My friends and I take turns reading it at the New Year's Eve party. My only complaint is that the paper it is printed on seems thinner and cheaper this year.

I buy Your Personal Horoscope from Joseph Polansky, every year. I find this to be THE most accurate horoscope predictions for my family. We like to refer to it often throughout the year and see how well it coincides with our life and more often then not it is right on. It helps to know what the universe has in-store for us and being able to see what in coming up helps as well.

I like the monthly description of House activity to your individual sign, but I was really looking for more of a Day-to-Day horoscope book. This book doesn't really hit on most days, just a few dates a month that the author deems pertinent. Not as helpful as I would have liked it to be.

Always precise, full of good information.

I get this book every year when it comes out. It's fun and entertaining! My BFFs and I gather around with some wine and read each other's coming horoscopes for the years with such seriousness until we can't and we just burst out laughing. It's a good time!

I enjoy following old Moors and somebody predictions are very good

I bought this at the end of 2016 and looked back to see if it was accurate - it wasn't.

A quite great book. Some things are really on point not only for my sign but to others as well.

A great book brought for my Mother and will now buy every year.
