Etsy Excellence: The Simple Guide to Creating a Thriving Etsy Business Paperback – June 23, 2015

Perfect for any new or current Etsy seller. I have an Etsy shop, and was doing ok for a while, but I shut it down since I had an upcoming surgery where I wouldn't be able to get up and around much for a few months. After that I just hadn't gone back and re-opened it yet. I've been thinking about it, and once I bought this book I will be re-opening my shop soon, with a ton of changes. I love the great tips and ideas in this book. It really helps the seller get over some hurdles, and understand why it might not be working so well for them. I also like the shop owners who were asked about their businesses and seeing their stories and experiances. Really this book is just a great reference. I've had troubles with my store and now I understand a lot better about the Etsy community and how to get more traffic to my store and more items seen by the shoppers.I know I will be referring to this as I start getting my shop ready to re-open. This is a great little book for anyone interested in the Etsy "world." It makes you realize how anyone can have a dream and make it a reality. This book gives you really helpful information on getting started with your Etsy shop and how to get your products seen by everyone. It also tells you how you can make yourself stand out as a small business owner and make all of your hard work pay off. I didn't realize how large the Etsy community was until I took a look through this book. Even if you have had your Etsy shop for a long time, you could still benefit from the information in this book. It could be a lifesaver for someone who has been struggling to get their products out there. It helps you take a step back and analyze everything you are doing and helps you make the right decisions in getting your products into the hands of as many consumers as possible. It's a great read! I received this product free of charge for my personal and unbiased review. I absolutely love etsy, I love unique and unusual items to fill my home with. I want an ambiance that is immediately noticed when you walk into my home. And etsy is a website I have used for many many years go get that. I've found unique jewelry, signs, cut vinyl, worksheets, and fabrics. Recently I have been contemplating opening my own shop and trying to sell some of the DIY projects that I love to do. It can be a little daunting to figure out where to start and if it's possible to make money within such an enormous website. This book is where you want to start if you have these same questions. It answered many questions I had and even gave some great tips on things I hadn't thought of before. If you are crafty and love to make unique items this book is a great place to start to begin that journey!

I found this to be an extremely informative guide for anybody with an Etsy shop or for anybody thinking about starting one. After reading this guide, you'll start thinking about yourself as a small business owner. This guide focuses on common mistakes and ways to avoid them, how to maximize sales, using tags and keywords appropriately, best ways to package and ship your products, best ways to promote via social media, and how to improve your customer service. You'll also learn ways to connect with the Etsy community. This guide also includes a few Q&A's with real Etsy shop owners where they will talk about their challenges and give tips, etc. A lot of the information is repetitive but it's presented nicely.*Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Some of this book is helpful, but I was turned off as soon as it implied "arts and craft types" suck at handling day to day business. I disagree...some people may be bad at it, but not all. I am a crafty, business professional. You can be both. Other than that it is a good book and gives some nice tips. I do think some of it is common sense though. I got this book in exchange for my feedback.

This is an excellent book for those interested in using Etsy as a marketplace. This is a helpful resource with information about starting an Etsy shop and getting your products seen. If you are new to Etsy, or have had your shop for years, this book should be in your e-reader for easy access. It is filled with great tips and how-tos to really make the most of your shop. I especially enjoyed the question and answer section. I found this book to be well written, and well organized, but it can still be a bit overwhelming. It helps to read the book in sections. I learned a great deal about the Etsy community and feel confident in saying that with this resource I could operate a successful Etsy store. This has been a very informative and great ideas of selling! I don't have a small business or anything to sell but I know a few friends who are crafty and make jewelry and hair bows for little girls and dogs! The author tells you many tips and tricks to help boost your sells and get your product noticed! I loved that the more you list the more your product will be looked at more! It is very important to brand your name by doing so social media helps!This book really helps you understand what etsy is all about and what you can do with it to go far! I am going to recommend this book to my friends who make bows! They have done some shows local but the internet is so big sales will grow!I received this book during a promotional period to read and review honestly!
