Sho Koi Impact Fish Food - Large Floating Pellet (5.5mm) 8 lbs

Been using this brand for almost 20 years to feed my Koi & Goldfish. The packaging looks the same but the color of the pellets is different. They seem to be a little more dense but they still float. The biggest difference is that the pellets are two different colors; about half are tan, the color I’m used to seeing, and the other half are much darker. It struck me a bit odd. The fish ate them just fine, just can’t understand why the difference.

I find Sho Koi Impact to be a reasonably-priced high-quality food for my Koi. I started feeding this a few years ago based on a veterinarian recommendation. One thing I look for is nutritional analysis and since it's not in the product description, I'm adding it below:Here's the nutritional analysis: Crude Protein (min) 38%, Crude Fat (min) 6%, Crude Fibre (Max) 2.55%, Moisture 10%, Ash 4.36%, Phosphorus (min) 0.93%, Calcium 1.01%. For those that buy based on ingredients it goes: Wheat, Hydrolyzed Feather Meal, Anchovy Fish Meal, Soybean Meal, Fish Oil, Alfalfa Meal, Dicalcium Phosphate, Wehat Germ, Spirulina, Vitamins (C, A, D2, E, K, B1, B2, B6, B12, Choline Chloride, Niacin, Biotin, Folic Acid, Calcium Pantothenate, and various minerals).Sho Koi is a three season food and can be fed in Spring, Summer and Fall. The pellets are true to size based on the extruder, so a 4mm pellet is 4-5mm depending on which dimension you're viewing.

I have been using sho koi food as far back as I could remember I have my koi pond for 18 years now and over those years I have lost maybe 2 koi s, but they are all doing find they are heathy & growing they love the food I feed them .it is high quality koi food I would recommend it to all .service is always been good to thanks and keep up the good work

I appreciate that the food is packaged in individual bags instead of loose in one large one. The size is good for my smaller koi as well as the larger ones, they seem to like it. I have not seen any clouding of the water

My fish love this food. I ran out once and tried another brand, they just laughed! No, really, they just didn't eat vigorously at all till I got more Total Koi. Been using this for a couple of years now.

To buy this locally, in smaller volume, I could easily spend 3X more money. This large volume brings my pricing down to an acceptable level. Most importantly, this is a great product for the Koi. Luckily this lasts me a season.

Purchased this based on recommendations from Dr, Johnson DMV and other research on the web. Of course too new to rate as far as the effect on the koi, but I am confident it is a lot better food than what I have fed them in the past.
