Was a bit dubious about whether this would fit / do the job but as the price was good I gave it a go. Have to say, it arrived promptly even with the problems with Covid currently. I found it to be a similar quality to the dyson original, it was a good fit and suction has been restored. What I can’t comment on is it’s longevity but in fairness if it only lasts half the time of the original it will still be value for money.

I'm delighted with this item! Our Dyson is about 4-5 years old and has had a replacement battery from eBay in that time when it originally started pulsing about 9 months ago. A month ago it started doing the same thing - there wasn't enough suction and it was pulsing again. First just on boost mode, then on the bog standard. I assumed it was a dodgy battery with a short shelf life, so ordered an official Dyson one to try and resolve the issue. When it arrived, it made no difference. I was all set to buy a new vacuum when I did one last Google and discovered the purple back piece could be the issue. Removing it, the suction worked, so I was hopeful when I ordered this part. And it's fixed the problem entirely, for a fraction of the cost of a battery let alone a hoover. Brilliant!
