Love love love!!
I love love love this book! I have been reading it to my k-5 elementary students all last month to prepare them for Dia de los Muertos today. Our school is 50% Hispanic, so it's important to include books that celebrate their culture. This book includes quite a few words in Spanish that can usually be translated by looking at the photos, but there's always someone in the class who KNOWS the translation. There's a glossary in the back for the one or two words that I wasn't able to pinpoint.Highly recommended (I've purchased two copies, so far. It's in high demand)

Adorable and Immersive
I really love the rhymes of this book, as well as its inclusion of Spanish words within the text. The story is cute and accurately depicts the Day of the Dead in detail, yet at a level where little kids can understand with parental guidance. The illustrations are also vibrant and enthralling, and a feast for the eyes. It also includes a nice glossary at the end for people who do not know Spanish!

Perfect for children not familiar with the holiday
Simple language to explain the holiday and to make it not scary. Growing up in Tx, I'm very familiar, but for those children who may not be, this is the perfect book. A few words in Spanish- great way for the teacher to start introducing the new readers to another language, a book that should be read by the teacher or parent along with the child. Also a great way to explain to students the importance of honoring their lost loved ones & ancestors

Very sweet
super cute. The illustrations are colorful and wonderful. The story is filled with Spanish words and has a great rhyme to it. We read it to our 4 year old and she loves it. She’s started to repeat the words :)

Nice book!
Nice book but you need to preteach the Spanish vocabulary to students before reading it. Bc it’s in rhyme format, you can’t just alter the vocabulary as you read. Better for students who have had some Spanish.
