The Scotty 4579 Super Spanner Hydrant Wrench is a yellow-colored, lightweight wrench that's used for tightening and loosening larger sized fire hose couplers. The 4579 Super Spanner is intended for use on swivel hose fittings and anvil lug couplers that vary in size from 3" up to 7" hose lines and certain Stortz fittings. The 4579 is also ideal for operating conventional 1.5" and 1.25" pentagon fire hydrant nuts, as well as for opening conventional 70 mm caps on 5 gallon foam concentrate pails and the large and small threaded plugs on 55 gallon drums. This Super Spanner Hydrant Wrench is manufactured with durable glass-filled nylon (Ny-Glass) that comes in either a high-visibility florescent yellow color.
