Toaster 2 Slice-White Toaster,For Home and Kitchen,College Dorm Room Accessories

First off I don't think it is all that great of quality. Which I wouldn't mind just as long as it does its job. With that being said. In my toaster before this I always had to have the setting on 1 for toast because 2 or higher would have it too toasty-burnt. So, I put the setting on 1 and put 2 pieces of bread in to make my kids toast. Well, 1 apparently was not high enough because all it did was basically warm the bread a little. So, I put it on 2 and pushed them back down but watched over them in case I needed to pull them out early. They toasted the second time, but not evenly...One side was way more toasted than the other on both pieces of bread. I had originally bought this to have an extra because I have 5 kids and my toaster only has 2 slots, so I figured I would get another with 2 slots and things would go a lot faster in the mornings when they make poptarts, toast etc.After reading the review someone posted before me about the statement on the box...which I am very upset I didn't pay attention to before my kids ate a piece of toast from this thing. Im not using this toaster anymore! So, my next toaster will just be a bigger 1 period. **So that its known the statement I'm talking about on the box reads: "State of California prop.65 WARNING This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and/ or birth defects or other reproductive harm. "** I know there is a lot of stuff in this world that can cause cancer and or birth defects or other reproductive harm, but I will not knowingly use products that can cause bad stuff to my kids!!! From now on I will make sure to read everything on the box! So my original 3 start review went to a 1 star because of the info on the box! I have 3 family members fighting cancer right now and seeing their struggle and reading that info just really rubbed me wrong!I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest unbiased review!

First off, there's a warning on the box about this product containing chemicals causing cancer. While it doesn't specify which chemical it is, you can check out the list that mandated this warning and more about Prop 65 here:http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html (heads up, it's currently 23 pages long!)Warnings aside, this is a low quality toaster. The plastic and the internals looks cheap, but it works and the price is on par with my expectations. I set out to make toast with it and toast is what it made; the settings are accurate. I didn't notice any peculiar smells and the toast tasted like toast.However, knowing what that label states makes it hard for one's moral compass to knowingly give this to your kids or give it as a gift, especially if you had cancer affect you directly or indirectly. It's unfortunate this toaster was manufactured with questionable chemicals because it's not a bad toaster.This product comes in a retail box.
