Vines are spaced 5' x 9'and are trained to a VSP trellis system. The soils are Sandy Loam and irrigated by a dual drip and micro-sprinkler system. Presently there are 30 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 acres of Cab Franc, 5 acres of Merlot, 4 acres of Syrah, 1 acre of Muscat Canelli, and 1/3 acre of Orange Muscat, all planted in 2006. In 2007, 1.8 acres of Petit Verdot was added and then in 2008, 3 more acres of Cabernet Sauvignon was planted along with 1 acre of Tempranillo, 1 acre of Sangiovese, and 1 acre of Malbec. Properly cellared, this wine will gracefully evolve for 15-20 years. This wine showcases the unique terroir of Echo Ridge Vineyard.
