the Christmas Angel
The Christmas Angel By Marcia Willett. I enjoy Marcia Willett's books as they are thought provoking and the characters are real. The insight of the small boy about his angel, and what she meant to him were well described. An unusual setting in that of a small convent with 5 elderly nuns, each one a seperate and real character, with you holding your breath to see the outcome of the "goodies and the baddies". It is a delightful plot and well worth the reading. I had quite an affection for the 5 nuns. Who would dream that so many worrys and dreams and playacting could go on in a small country convent with romance as a sideline.

As usual Marcia Willett captivates her reader with her amazing insight into human nature
As usual Marcia Willett captivates her reader with her amazing insight into human nature. I think I have read all of her books and loved every one of them. If you read the sample given and it is the type of writing that you like then you will not be disappointed. There is only one problem with The Christmas Angel and that is it comes to a finish. I hope others enjoy this book as much as I did.

Great read but I wish I had read it before another of her books. I think it was Postcards from the Past.

Warm and Cozy Christmas Story
Marcia Willett delivers her special blend of Christmas cheer with this warm and cozy tale featuring an extended, and somewhat unusual, family living in Cornwall. Dossie is a widow who is elated when her adult son (now a widower himself) and his young son move near her. The son has temporarily abandoned plans to become an ordained minister in order to raise his son. Dossie has lived with her own aging parents since her husband died and has never left the comfort of their home, although she does run a rather successful catering business on her own. When a small group of four nuns may be forced to leave their home and relocate, Dossie and her son become deeply involved. Add to the mix a young and vivacious helper, an adulterous husband, a wife bored with small town living, two charming dogs, and scheming real estate agents, and you have a light-hearted seasonal read to savor.

Book with Integrity
Excellent book with good characterization and interesting plot. The characters are treated with a level of integrity missing in most modern novels. I plan to read more of her work.
