Great for the price
They are both economically priced and built. BUT they don't look cheap and they write nicely. I have not had the problem of the pen tips retracting under pressure. Mine have all worked as they should and I use them frequently.Update: i’ve used these so much I'm ordering a second set of 5.

Nice wood pens
In general i love these wood pens. These are well made. If you engrave them will be nice gift.

It delivers on looks, but not much else.
STYLE: 4/5The wood and the overall shape/profile look nice. Up close the gold accents look a little cheap and flimsy.FEEL: 2/5For a wood pen this feels a little too light in the hand and the balance feels completely off when the cap is removed and secured on top since all of the weight is in the cap. The ink cartridges rattle and the pen tip recedes a bit as you put pressure on it. Capping the pen does not feel smooth at all and you frequently have to realign the cap and the pen for it to click in place.WRITING: 3/5Despite the poor balance writing isn't too bad. My first ink cartridge was a dud but after I replaced it the pen wrote smoothly. Though fair warning this is a very fine tip and it feels more like you're scratching a carving into the paper. I usually prefer a wider tip so that it glides across the paper.CONCLUSION:For a single pen I would say it's not worth it. But with the 5 pack being $13 that feels like a deal. Think of these as fancy disposable pens. I know I'm always looking for a pen around my house and the skinny plastic ones get lost so easily. By comparison these will feel like the "good pen" everyone tries to use and there will be a few of them to go around.
