Hope it is more useful for you.
Obviously I bought this as a school book as required material. However, the class rarely assigns reading from the book and when there is assigned reading it does not align with the subject. Most of my research for the class has been from other textbooks I have acquired over time or the internet. The book itself isn't horrible, but wasn't very useful for me.

There are some good things in this book
There are some good things in this book. What really detracts for it for me is the author spends a lot of time talking about viewing your financials via throughput in stead of to incorporate Lean into an MRO.

The best book I know of about how to improve MRO operations
The title is misleading since the proposed approach is explicitly called "Lean/TOC". The book argues that it is a 1 + 1 = 3 combination. There are more pages dedicated to the Theory Of Constraints than Lean. The authors really have an in depth experience of MRO, Lean and TOC. There are several case studies included. The quality of the writing and the book layout make it easy both for an initial reading and later as a reference book. They go into the necessary detail so that readers will know how to apply these ideas in their own environment.Quite simply the best book I know of about how to quickly and sustainably improve MRO operations.
