Product Description The padded nylon gilet from Gregster is the perfect jacket to wear while running, hiking, camping or other outdoor sports. It’s ultralight and made from 100% nylon, comfortable and breathable, which will keep you warm in the colder months.

Filling is polyester, not down. Very light & thin.
The first thing that strikes you when you pick this up is how light and thin it is (i.e. it has a terribly low volume). That makes it good for not taking up much space at all in a daypack but not so good at keeping you warm.I am surprised at the current price as it is not a branded gilet (or the brand is not well known). At the time of writing the price ranges from £24.54 (Small, black) to £30.56 (2X-Large i.e. XXL, navy) – in my opinion that is too much.I am not keen on the cut.The front pockets are zipped which is handy if you want to put anything in them. When I received this, it was advertised as a down gilet yet it the filling is not down – it is polyester. Oddly, the product description says it is both down and polyester (“Ultralight down vest - suitable for all seasons…… Composition: 100% nylon. Padding: 100% polyester”). That description may have changed by the time you read this.I have a Mountain Warehouse gilet which is warmer and in the same price bracket.

I wouldn't run in it, but it has its uses.
I have three running jackets - used for different weather conditions - all with sleeves. This looked OK for spring and autumn, rather than a tanktop or tee shirt. There's plenty of space under the arms, which is good, and it is warm on the skin when you first put it on, unlike the other jackets. The collar tends to return to an upright position, however, with the movement of the body, which I don't like. Also, the fabric means that sweat from the body isn't properly wicked away, and too much heat results. For running, therefore, I wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand, it's good to wear for a while when I come in from a walk; I always change completely, and at this time of year (February) I use this as a top for 10 minutes or so as an aid to adjusting body temperature before changing again. The zip is too small, though, and is often reluctant to move. It washes well at 30 degrees C.

The best nylon vest
An outdoor vest for men.It is medium in size.Made of one hundred percent nylon, it is, as you can see from the picture, rather like a jacket without any sleeves. It zips up at the front. Has two pockets. Which can be zipped up if you put things in them. Or you can put your hands in them, since they are in the right position for that. The zips for these are thus at the side not the top.It has a small nylon hook at the right position to use it for hanging on a peg. It's very light. And very comfy. And really does fit very snugly and provide extra warmth on windy or cold days.So you can wear it like a summer coat if it's the kind of weather for that, or for extra warmth under a big coat if you need.A great product. Worth five stars.

Ultralight but super warm.
This gilet came as a bit of a shock at first. It is so light, like a feather but boy is it warm. Fabric is very lightweight but obviously less is more with the filling as it is very warm to wear. In black with the logo Gregster on the back and the little emblem on the front. The only downside with this is it seems a little strange with the sizing. I was sent an XXL and my husband is a large. Surprisingly it is really snug around the arm holes but very baggy when done up as it is obviously too large a size in the body. The arm holes are quite small for the size portrayed so you would need to her that in mind when ordering. I think that the filet itself is innovative and will be fantastic for holiday periods when you need thy little bit of extra layering without the bulk.

Sports Gilet
This review is for the Blue size Medium----------------------------------------------------Very lightweight, it's quite thin and not as padded or filled out as I was expecting. However it is warm despite it being so thin, and it folds up really small for keeping as an emergency in the bottom of a bag.The photos show it on me, so obviously it'll be a little big looking as it's mens but it fits a man about right for a Medium - a little long even for him, but the shoulder and belly fit is about right, with space to comfortably wear a jumper underneath. It doesn't exactly scream luxury, but is very practical and well made. The feel of it is very polyester, I would say around the £20 mark for something to wear for football, this is ideal.
