Worth getting for many reasons!!
The best portable twin tub was made by Hoover 30+ yrs. ago. Sadly, I don't have mine now, & nothing compares. But when my large washer quit I Decided I need a backup til I get it repaired or replaced & for future laundry emergencies. Glad I got this one! It's no Hoover, but it's easy to use, small & lightweight, a good looking unit, has a water pump enabling me to use it in the kitchen instead of the yard or bathtub, I can easily reuse water for the next load, very easy to pump gray water into a bucket for plant watering, knobs seem well made & not likely to break off, no water leaks, the spinner leaves clothes nearly dry & way drier than a regular washer spin cycle, I can wash clothes as little or as long as needed according to how dirty they are, everything seems to fit in this except big winter coats/comforters/quilts/& bed pillows. Sheets, towels, jeans, tennis shoes, jackets, etc. all fit fine. Does a good job of swishing them around & has a timer bell to tell you when your stuff is done washing or rinsing. Looks like the Panda gravity drained washer, & has the specs of the Panda w/ water pump--but much cheaper than both even w/o free shipping! And it arrived in only 3 days!! Packaging was simple, smart & adequate & arrived in perfect condition. No complaints & glad I got this one. Handy enough I may use it as my primary washer even after my regular one is fixed/replaced & use the regular one just for quilts & pillows. That would extend the life of my large washer & I wouldn't have to run downstairs as much with this little one being so handy. I really love the spinner drying my clothes better than my big washer, extending the life of my dryer as well as speeding up the hang drying process too.

this is much better than hand washing
There is a little more work involved with doing a load of laundry in this machine than there would be in a full sized washer, but if you are in an apartment where you can't have one, this is much better than hand washing......My only real complaints are that the mechanism to remove lint needs some improvement, and clothes can get really tangled together because it doesn't have a full sized spinning mechanism......Other than the aforementioned, I am glad I bought It, because the extracter works very well, and clothes come out of that almost dry, and it beats having to hand wash or run to a laundromat..... Overall, it was worth the money.......

Exactly what I wanted!!!
This machine is exactly what I thought it would be, and I LOVE it! I use it to wash lightweight clothing I would otherwise hand wash (such as my kids' dance clothes and cheap tops from Forever 21). The spin dryer removes most of the water from the clothing. The lightest weight items hang dry in just an hour or so. Cotton knit items, elastic waist bands or heavier items do take a bit longer. I place especially delicate items in a laundry bag. The lint trap is fairly useless and to keep lint out of the bathrub drain, I put an old stocking over the drainage tube secured by a rubberband. It took a few tries to figure out how much laundry detergent to use -- maybe a teaspoon -- and I would definitely advise against overloading the machine. It doesn't hold too much. There are plenty of YouTube videos posted on line which feature demonstrations of similar portable washers such as the Panda. Check those out; if you like what you see, this model will fit the bill! I chose this one over the Panda because it looked exactly the same as the model that drains by gravity but this one has a pump and it cost less.

Older apartment?
My machine arrived today. I was so excited! The excitement faded when I un- boxed the unit and the back panel fell off. All I could find was one short screw. When I tried to attach the panel, I couldn't because in addition to being warped, the interior holes where the screws needed to go had the tops missing (half holes) and they didn't match up to the holes on the panel. So I used clear packaging tape to secure the panel in place. I won't be showing the unit to anyone. Too embarrassed. It's brand new and looks like I bought it at a salvage store. The drain hose.....it will drive you crazy. I watched a you tube video on a similar unit. They set theirs up in the bathroom. I live in a 50 year old apartment. No bath tub, and just a 1" lip on the walk in shower. When I placed the drain hose in the shower, it flipped around like it was alive. I soon had water all over the floor. So I moved the unit to in front of the kitchen sink. No go there either. The hose is flimsy and by stretching it to reach the sink, I worried it would soon split and there didn't seem to be a way to replace it with a longer one. The water comes out slow and steady, then sped up like it was a fire hose, then flops around. I then put the hose in a big plastic tote, but that was only a moderate success. Half full of water, the tote is extremely heavy to move and empty. So I elevated the unit by putting it on a kitchen chair. Better but not optimal. I used an elastic headband (cut in half), to secure the hose to the kitchen faucet. More flopping, more water on the floor. Since my dead full size washer is still here, I put the unit on top and replaced the old drain hose with the new one. Now the machine drains quickly and completely. I have to dump multiple pitchers of water into the unit, but as long as the machine is happy, that's all that matters. It works well, and spins the clothes to perfection. If you live in an older apartment, be aware that you're going to have a tough time finding the right spot to set up the unit. A better quality, heavier, longer hose without the hard plastic cover on it would be ideal. That hard collar or whatever it is you call it, gets in the way.Putting the hose in the shower would have been perfect, I just couldn't figure out how to secure it. Any ideas?
