Neoprene Rubber Black Self-adhesive Sponge Strip 30mm wide x 1.5mm thick x 10m long

I bought these to go on the bottom of a mat that the kids play on in the living room. The mat is on a wooden floor so was slipping around when the kids ran on it. I attached these and they stopped the slipping immediately and I was really impressed. I was doubly impressed with how well they stuck to the mat as it’s a fabric base, not a nice smooth surface.However, after 3 months or so the grip started to fade, and after 6 months, there’s no grip at all so I’m back to square one. I suspect it’s just where dust and other muck has stuck to the rubber, so the rubber is no longer really in contact with the floor. Wiping the rubber with some water revived it to some extent, but not back to it’s original form. It’s pretty dam cheap though, so for the sake of a few quid I don’t mind replacing it every year or so.

This has proved perfect to give a degree of protection at the bottom of a glass door, in the slot that it slides into. The 10mm width is enough to prevent noise (a thud) as the door closes but not too much as to make the door not close properly.The backing is sticky enough and it holds well.If I had a small complaint it'd be that I'd advise against putting this on something such as steel chair where the armrest edges were occasionally touching a white radiator. In doing this I discovered that the rubber leaves marks on the radiator. In other words, be careful using it on anything where it'll rub against something and potentially leave a mark.
