Trapped together on the Sinners tour bus for the summer, Sed and Jessica will rediscover the millions of steamy reasons they never should have called it quits in the first place… Praise for Rock Hard : "Readers will love the characters and enjoy their scorching love scenes and passionate fights."―RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars "Hot men, rocking music, and explosive sex? What could be better?"―Seriously Reviews "Sizzling sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll... Absolutely perfect!"―Fresh Fiction Review: Sexy Sinners Rock It Again! - So would you be even the tiniest bit surprised if I said I loved ROCK HARD? I mean, come on, the title gave me high hopes. I loved book one in the series, BACKSTAGE PASS,and couldn't wait to get my hands on Sinners lead singer Sedric Lionheart's story. I have to start by admitting, I didn't care much for Sed before this book. In BACKSTAGE PASS, Sed is an arrogant, mostly off-putting, girlfriend-stealing man whore. The dude was known for getting it on with three to four girls at a time for crying out loud. But very rarely a contemplative, regretful side of Sed peeked through. The hint was definitely there that Sed had a story to tell. That hint is what made me excited to read ROCK HARD. In this story, fate or circumstance pushes Sed and his former fiance, Jessica, back together. When they are forced to share close quarters, their attraction takes over and old (sexual) habits resurface. Sed wants to protect Jessica, be the alpha male and provider. Because of his blunt nature, though, he comes off as a condescending, controlling asshat. Jessica has issues, namely Sed. His controlling nature drives her crazy, enough so to make her leave him two years prior to this story. When he unexpectantly and violently re-enters her life, she wants to make him pay, to break his heart. In an effort to make that happen, she plans to use Sed's body (who can blame her?), toy with his heart, then dump his arrogant ass all over again. But, like any good romance, that plan goes down in flames when Jess realizes that Sed has changed, that he truly loves her and she never stopped loving him. Besides Jess and Sed, the band, Sinners, is featured more in this book, as a unit. I loved that. I felt like I was behind the scenes, witnessing the magic. There is also a great deal of foreshadowing about Trey, Jace and Eric for the future books in the series. I have to admit, SINNERS ON TOUR has given me a much bigger appreciation for rock stars. I've always dug musicians, but now I really dig them. *wink* So...I know why you're really here, for the S-E-X. Lemme tell you, there is plenty of the boning in ROCK HARD. And I do mean plenty. The kink isn't as prevalent as in BACKSTAGE PASS. Sed and Jess are a little more sedate in their tastes, but definitely not in their enthusiasm. With the amount of action these two get, I think they're basically sexual machines. They can get it on anytime, anywhere. They have insatiable appetities and they really enjoy sex in public places. And wow, homegirl's got technique! Besides having fun reading the story, I feel like I'm learning, y'all! Seriously, my mind is cataloging all of the tips I've gathered reading this series. ROCK HARD was a highly enjoyable read for me. After the wonderful BACKSTAGE PASS, led by the most-adorable couple, Brian and Myrna, I didn't know if ROCK HARD would cut it for me. Sed and Jessica are definitely a change. Sed isn't as openly lovable as Brian. Jessica isn't the level-headed, calm person that Myrna is. I can identify with that. As a highly emotional and sometimes melodramatic chick, I like to be represented every now and then. They both make dumb choices, overreact. They're not perfect, but they are real. I fell hard for them, rooted for their happy ending. And, now that I think about it, I focused more on their relationship than the sex. Weird. Either I found the plotline to be super strong or I am becoming immune to the smexy times. *shudders* I'll go with option A. And now, the wait is on for Trey's book, DOUBLE TIME, which I have on preorder, but doesn't release until November. Somebody hold me. Favorite Quotes: "Whatever it took to make her love him, he'd do it. To hell with what Brian or anyone else thought. He refused to give up on her this time. She would be his again. And not just in body. That would never be enough for him and he knew it." (pg 130) "He sighed and wiped a hand over his face. If there were a Jessica Chase instruction manual, it would be written backwards in Arabic Pig Latin and twelve thousand pages long with random pages missing." (pg 311) Review: Made me love Sed! - Read this and other reviews at [...] I started Rock Hard right after finishing Backstage Pass and honestly, I wasn't sure how I would like it. This is Sed's book, and while I was interested in getting inside his head, I wasn't sure I would be happy with what I saw. He intrigued me in the first book, but I wasn't sure having an entire (even longer) book about him would do it for me. Well, I worried for nothing. It worked. Love Sed. This book saved his rep! :) Sedric Lionheart had his heart broken big time by fiancee Jessica Chase two years ago. In Backstage Pass it seems like she's some conniving bitch who ripped his heart out, stomped on it and took off. So when I saw this was a story of them being thrown together again, I wasn't sure I'd want to read that. However, there are always two sides to every story - and of course Jessica is not the bitch I thought she was. It was, in fact, Sed who drove her away. Now, after more of his possessiveness 2 years after their broken engagement, he's caused her to be jobless and essentially homeless. Myrna (Brian Sinclair's new wife) takes it upon herself to help Jessica - because really she knows it'll help Sed - and hires her as her research assistant for the remainder of the summer. Sparks fly. Big time. Jessica is ready to play Sed like she feels he played her. Only, she isn't prepared to fall in love again. I really loved being able to see all the characters in this story. It wasn't so focused on Sed and Jessica that we never got to catch up with Brian and Myrna or with the other guys - Trey, Eric, Jace. They were still very much part of the story, and I loved that. Also, can't complain about Sed and Jessica's romantic relations. ha. Although it's pretty crazy how much they like "doing it" in public, more power to those not afraid. I appreciated Jessica's strength and her hesitance to let a man take care of her. I like strong women who want success on their own terms. Obviously, it would have been easy for her to become complacent and just let Sed pay for everything and take care of her - God knows he wants to - but she wants to make it on her own. I admire that. The book was a touch long for me. I felt like it could have definitely been tightened up, without losing any part of the story, but regardless it was still a great read. All the characters went through a lot of change in this book, not just Sed and Jessica. I give this book 4 stars, and just like Backstage Pass, I recommend this to ADULTS looking for a contemporary romance with lots of drama and eroticism. This is not for the faint of heart or for the conservative! :) I know there's still a lot to come with Trey's story, Double Time, which I'm starting next (this doesn't release until November) and I'm excited to see if that boy finally gets his happily ever after. Not to mention, I can't wait to catch up with the rest of the characters.

Rock On!!
The rock-n-roll lifestyle...tour bus orgies, fanatical groupies willing to do anything to please, big egos, sexy and possessive men who like to experiment and get it on non-stop and lots of hot bandmates, Rock Hard has it all. I loved the book from beginning to end and I am so glad I took the chance on it after not being thrilled with the first book in the series. The whole rock and roll theme is so appealing, I love to imagine how they exist on the wild side. Olivia Cunning portrayed it beautifully and I think realistically in my mind. What drew me in to this story were the characters, Sed and Jessica. Their personalities were explosive especially around each other. When they fought they were ruthless to each other and they loved violently too. The first 3 pages hooked me! ***SPOILER*** Sed and Jess were poor and struggling and madly in love with each other, but young in handling a relationship. When Jess finally sees her dreams coming true as she is accepted to law school, Sed can't live without her and denies letting her go. Jess will have none of his caveman attitude and throws his engagement ring at him and leaves. His ego won't let him chase her and her pride won't let her return to him. Page 4 fast forwards 2 years, both still miserable without each other. She becomes a stripper to pay for school funds and he becomes a huge success with the Sinners always with 2 or 3 girls willingly giving and fulfilling his huge sexual appetite. When Jess and Sed encounter each other at her strip joint- she is performing for Brian's bachelor party (book 1 hero) Sed flips out causing a big ruckus. There was a very funny scene when Jess goes badass all over 3 girls that are with Sed in his bedroom, he knows she is out there listening so he gets a little revenge inciting her jealousy, it was awesome. The fireworks continue and Sed's caveman tendencies regarding Jess resurface; so does the sexual chemistry. There were definitely some very creative sexual positions, I think one time she was hanging upside down and water parks aren't just for kids anymore... let's just say it was very inventive and satisfying. Even though the sex was hot and there was a lot of it, I didn't feel it was overkill as in some erotica I have read lately. The author does a very good job of giving erotic details in the beginning when it is new and exciting and then tapering the length and details later in the book where it sometimes gets monotonous. Even though it was the wild party life of touring there were many issues and conflicts to overcome in the story; addiction, sexual harassment, medical issues, as well as, foreshadowing of possible secrets that will be uncovered in future books. The ending was fabulous too! I won't give any hints except to say it warmed my heart, made me smile, it was very thoughtful and satisfying.

Review from My Overstuffed Bookshelf
After reading and reviewing Backstage Pass, I was in heaven when the publisher sent me a copy of the second book in the Sinners Tour series! I wasn't sure how the author was going to write about Sed Lionheart after what he had done to Brian in the previous book, but I had faith in one of my favorite authors! After Jessica walked out of Sed's life, he has been on a sexual spree that would put Hugh Hefner to shame! Sed is cocky, stubborn, and can be mean as hell with his words, but underneath the attitude was a sensitive and loving man. He tries to take care of his friends the best way he knows how, but sometimes it comes across with him sticking his foot in his mouth sideways. I understand that many people had a hard time liking this story because of the way Sed acted at times, but I actually thought the attitude fit the character and you start to understand him as you read more into the book. Jessica could be just as stubborn and showed it when she left Sed after he gave her an ultimatum. I can understand the reasoning why she left, but I can also understand why Sed gave it to her in the first place after reading about his personality more. I did find Jessica to be annoying at times, but I think this was more to the fact of my possessive feelings towards the boys of the band! I want them happy, and it was torture reading the path the author kept taking them down! The other members of the band play prominent roles in the story as well. Trey has a crisis that effects everyone, Jace is still dealing with his own issues without giving explanations, Brian is trying to enjoy time with his new wife Myrna, and Eric is still as playful and fun as before. I loved the steamy sex scenes between Jessica and Sed that includes plenty of public shows! While I enjoyed the story of the two main characters, I enjoyed Trey's story so much more! I personally can't wait for his book and from what I understand, his book is going to be the last in the series! Oh how the author loves to tease me! All I can say is, at least the author pleases me with her stories while teasing me with sexy characters!

Good, just not as great as the first
This book was a little disappointing to me. I just didn't enjoy it as much as the first book Backstage Pass, which totally sucks because I was really looking forward to reading Sed and Jessica's story. I am a big fan of reunion stories but this one just fell a little flat for me. I didn't feel any sparks between Sed and Jessica like the way I did for Brian and Myrna in the previous book. I will say that this book was very emotional and not as light as the first. I actually found myself tearing up quite a few times when certain things happened with some of the band members. Sed in Rock Hard seemed like a completely different person to the one we were introduced to in Backstage Pass. There we saw a man who just uses women and doesn't seem to care about others feelings. He has no qualms about sleeping with any of his friends girlfriends including all of Brian's previous exes. Though we could see that he was hurt by the ending of his relationship with Jessica, we still saw that he was still very angry that she was able to break his heart. In Rock Hard, we never see that anger. As soon as he sees Jessica again all is forgiven and he is instantly in love again. I would have liked to see him coming to terms with everything in his past with Jessica before latching onto her so fiercely. As for Jessica, I never really warmed up to her. I just don't know what it was about her. I think I may have just been put of a bit by her scheme to seduce Sed and crush him. All because she seems to think that he's an egotistical jerk who is full of himself. I don't think she ever really got to know Sed until the end of the book. Even then I still didn't really feel like she tried to much. Does she love Sed because they have great sex together or does she love him because he's a great guy inside? I just don't know. Also, another thing that really bugged me is how Sed treats Jessica towards the end of the book. Here we see a little bit of the Sed that we met in Backstage Pass. Jessica decides she wants to stay on tour with him and the Sinners and that she is possibly thinking about dropping out of school. Instead of listening to Jessica and trying to talk her out of it he immediately pushes her away and treats her as if she's a groupie. Claiming that he doesn't want her around and that she needs to get away from him. Huh? Seriously? Sed spends the entire book going on about how much he loves her and how he's never going to let her go again only to push her away when she makes a dissucion he doesn't like. Ugh! All in all, this was an okay read for me. It's definitely not as good as the first book but I still loved reading about the guys of Sinners. I love seeing the comraderie between them and how much they all truly care for one another. Plus, the scenes with them together are just plain hilarious.

Good followup story
I'm not a huge fan of series, nor am I a fan of erotic fiction, but I'm obsessed with this series! My only regret is that I started reading them before they are all out for purchase. I am highly disappointed with the publishing house for marking book #4 in the Sinners on Tour series to be released in the fall and waiting to release book #3 until the spring of 2013. Who does that? And why would you do that to the fans of the books. I know I certainly will not read the books out of the order the author intended them to be read in. So what can I say about Rock Hard? First off, I loved it! I'm not sure how much I can actually giving away spoilers. We really got to know the characters better in the second book. Trey is still my favorite, how could he not be? That poor guy has had a lot to deal with in book one and two. Let's just say, no wonder things went south for him in this one. Even though this is Sed's book, I can't say he is my favorite. It's not that I dislike him; it's just that he kind of gets on my nerves. His saving grace is how much he cares for everyone around him and how he honestly has everyone's best interest at heart. But does he have to be such an overbearing prick ALL THE TIME? I guess he does though, that is classic lead singer behavior, classic everyone hates that guy. The funny part is that Olivia Cunning was able to make Sed be that person, not just play the part (which a lot of authors tend to do). I guess if rock star front men are your thing, Sed is probably your man. Then there is Jessica. Ok, she isn't Myrna and I shouldn't judge her as if she were. It's just that the girl gets on my nerves. She is a straight A law student, so I expect to act like she has a little common sense. She's the hottest little thing to walk the halls of her university's Law School, then she is the hottest little thing in the strip club, and then she's the hottest little thing on the internet....I get it, Jessica is sexy. I'd say she is a little too sexy, so why doesn't she "get it." She only stands her ground half of the time. She pouts and gets angry a lot, but she only takes action on a whim. What kind of lawyer is she going to make if she can't keep her emotions in check and remain level headed? A lot of the time she reminds me of Reece Witherspoon in Legally Blond and less like the confident, intelligent young women she is supposed to be. Then she coddles and flirts with the rest of the guys and can't seem to understand why Sed is always jealous. Really? You're a smart girl Jessica, figure it out. Things I liked: The scene at the strip bar! Yeah, I can completely see that happening. The way the detox was handled. It's a very reasonable way to kick. The injuries were realistic and handled appropriately. The sex scenes didn't take over the story. They were not toned down but they flowed better with the story. I got to know Eric. I think I'm going to like him. Things I didn't like: Brian seems to have become too mellow in this book. I miss the way he was in the last one. I still don't know a thing about Jace. Well I know a few sordid things about him, but I have no idea who he is and I feel I should by book 2. The Law School! I've never been to law school, but I have been to college and I'm just not buying any of the things that happened to Jessica as reasonable. The deal with the Dean: no way. The internet gig in the classroom: call me naive, but I have to believe a female law professor would never do that to a female law student. The only thing that was reasonable was that paper. Sorry, girlie, you didn't write the paper you were asked to write. That is what happens when you don't follow directions. All in all, a good story and a great follow up to Backstage Pass. I look forward to the rest of the series and other novels by Olivia Cunning.

LOVE The Sinners! LOVE their stories!
I just can't believe that I finished book two of The Sinners series, and yet, I feel like I know them all so well! Olivia Cunning does it again! I have fallen in love. In the first book of the series, Backstage Pass, we are introduced to arrogant, gorgeous playboy, Sedric Lionhearted, lead singer for the Sinners. We learned of his highly active, loveless sex life with multiple fan girls at one time. Use 'em and lose 'em would have been his motto. We are also given a glimpse into his past, and possibly the reason for his active libido and cold post coital attitude. He missed his only love in the world, and ex-fiancé, Jessica Chase. In Rock Hard, while at a bachelor party, Sed recognizes one of the pole dancers to be the woman he never thought he would see again, yet still loved with all of his heart, Jessica. His reaction was swift, startling, protective and angry as he pulled Jessica from the stage. Before Jessica could register what was happening, and explain her job situation, security guards scattered and Sed and the guys were involved in a strip bar brawl. Injuries both physical and emotional are drawn from this single night. A wedding, operations, scholarships, sexual harassment, sexual adventure, research, addiction, friendship, failure, recovery, love and plenty of sight seeing are just some of the experiences in Sed and Jessica's story. Cunning has a remarkable way of putting the thin line between love and hate into perspective using words for both lovers and friends. Each sexual experience has a surprising freshness all it's own with plenty of heat, urgency and passion. Most importantly, at the end, Sed is no longer viewed by the reader as an overbearing, dominant tough guy. We are pleasantly made aware of his love for one woman and his band, with his need to help and protect them, not overwhelm them or push them away. I have already recommended this series to many, and can't wait to get started on book #3!

Rock star sinner
This was the first book I read from the Sinner tour series and it hooked me from the beginning. Addicted me to the lives of these wonderfully human rock gods. From the stage to the bus we see behind the scenes and Olivia Cunning gives us amazing insight into the lives of rock stars. I love Sed. In all his narrow minded, alpha control freak, marshmallow heart, hardheadedness. He is oblivious to his effect on the people who love him and like all alpha males expects to be obeyed because he knows best. Jessica Chase is stubborn, brilliant, and just as alpha as Sed. When they get together it's incendiary. The beginning of their story is Sed proposing to Jessica in one breath and denying her the chance to follow her dream of law school in the other. Unfortunately for Sed, Jessica chooses her dream over him. Fast forward three years later and Sed is an emotionless jerk who can't and won't stop sleeping with his groupies and has hardened his heart against any emotional attachments. Jessica is a law student who has gotten on the wrong side of one of her professors. In danger of losing her scholarship she finds a job as a stripper to save for her tuition. One night on the town finds the boys from the Sinners at the new club where Jessica works...and let the fireworks begin. One bar fight and a new assistant for Brian's new wife (Backstage Pass) later; and Sed and Jessica are stuck on a rolling bus together. His heart couldn't be more happy to have her with him, but she is not ready to stay or commit more than a physical connection, and tragedy keeps following both the couple and the band. These obstacles help the couples become closer physically, but they can never seem to meet emotionally. Neither of these prideful egos can compromise their dreams for the other. This is a sweet and steamy HOT story.

bon bouquin

This story is really 2.5 stars for me. I like the characters - I like the general story line, but ...... there is something about the writing and the way the erotic/sex scenes are written that lacks 'polish'.

Love, Sex, and Rock and Roll!
Das Sinners Show geht weiter! ...throbbing flesh... ...pure ecstasy... ...deep pulsating orgasms... ...gasping breath... ...spreading legs... ...driving him so mad with lust... ...best blow job of his life...

Firstly, READ THIS BOOK, ITS BRILLIANT! I am so glad I started reading "Sinners on Tour" series. It's fantastic! I loved "Backstage Pass" and was really disappointed when I found out that the next book about Brian and Myrna has been delayed indefinitely (outrageous!) but can I just say that Rock Hard does not disappoint and even gives us a little more of Master Sinclair and his new Mrs. After finishing "Backstage Pass", I was a little apprehensive about following Lead singer, Sed and his long term love Jessica. I didn't like him much because of the way he treated women, although I warmed to him towards the end of book 1 as we found him broken hearted. I wasn't keen on Jessica either as I thought she was a cow for breaking his heart and making him the way he is. Well I take it all back! Sed is a sensitive caring man and although you wouldn't always know it because he doesn't express himself well, he has a heart of gold. Jessica has balls and I love her. She is pretty clear on what she wants and what she wants to achieve. Following their story is amazing and I just love them both. This is just a great love story (with fantastic sex to-boot!). I have loved reading about the Sinners boys so far. I can visualise it so clearly. I know there are specific images for Sed and Brian, but for me, Sed is Jon Bon Jovi and Brian is Richie Sambora. Can't help it, I'm such an 80's kid but the beauty of these characters is that they can be whoever you want them to be. I look forward to continuing my journey with the Sinners!
