Best red pepper flakes ever.

We love to cook in my home and rarely do we use pre-mixed spice mixes, preferring to season our food ourselves. The Spice Kit COmpany's double cut red pepper has been a great way to add flavor that's easy to cook with!I fell in love with using red pepper flakes when I worked at a pizzeria, but my youngest has never been a fan of eating an entire stray seed. This double cut red pepper is finely cut and free of large seeds so we get flavor evenly throughout our food. The flakes are relatively fine and evenly cut throughout, so it's easy to measure out the same portion every time.I can't eat pizza without pepper flakes anymore, so I was thrilled when I saw the shaker top! The small holes are evenly spaced around the lid and dispense the perfect amount of pepper with every shake. Of course the lid can easily be removed to reach a measuring spoon in, and when the lid is on it snaps on tightly and doesn't fall off.The Spice Kit Company has made a wonderful crushed red pepper that's made my pizza taste divine! I did receive this pepper at a discount but price doesn't change how finely it's cut, nor does it effect my review.

I wasn't expecting the bottle to be as big as it was, even though it was stated in the description, it was still a surprise. You have quit a bit that will last you a decent time, even if you do use this on a day-to-day basis. I've never used double crushed red pepper, it's always been a size or two bigger so I had to get use to that with how much I should be adding onto my food. I always started with less and added more, if needed. (So much easier to add verse trying to take it off.) I didn't mind the bigger flakes, prior to using this, but now I don't care for the flakes. Though it's not a huge ordeal, it is something that I would prefer the double crushed over the flakes. The added flavor is a nice kick that doesn't take away from the rest of the flavors that you would, or could have, within the food. The kick isn't too overwhelming but enjoyable.I did receive this at a discounted rate for my unbiased review. Mu opinion was not influenced by the discount that I received.

The size of this amazed me- I had no idea how much 6 ounces of red pepper was- but I am going to love to share this with friends and family!I used this double cut red pepper today for ribs and it gave great flavor without overpowering one bite more than the other- I will now freely sprinkle on pizza, pasta and many other dishes- I had no big seed flakes caught between my teeth like the regular crushed red pepper- no seeds!There is nothing here not to love- great shaker, great flavor, great cut-I had the opportunity to review this product at a discounted cost for testing, inspecting and reviewing.
