- Google Play + Play books can be enabled (read seller guidance)- this was essential for me, all my books are google purchased- Note taking VERY responsive, am really surprised how much I like the stock app, even with my crappy handwriting, I'm impressed.- MicroSD Slot- Stock apps are minimal, unwanted stock books are easily removed- Stock note taking app is really very good but with Google Play can add your own stock app exports to PDF- PDF ReaderCons- Pen is proprietary, but reasonably cheap replacements/substitutes exist, depending on the eraser feature you require. Discovered s pen for Galaxy Tab 2-4 works on this device, not cheap but bought in bundles can save you money. I didn't want new nibs cuz I lose pens like nobody's business! Galaxy Tab styli works, and need to be Wacom compliant.- Default UI "Home page" is configurable, but limited. UI however is simple and uncluttered, so consider this a net positive. Bring android there may be launchers that can be added to fix this, haven't tried yet.- Battery life with Wifi drains somewhat quickly, but for reading books turn wifi off, and battery life is amazing, I take it camping and use all weekend with no recharging.ConclusionDON'T buy this as a tablet replacement, seriously. However, If you really want to get more into reading, notetaking and annotating documents. THIS is the device! Really a joy to take notes with. Also it's now January 13th and I've just received an update for the OS, so the support is current! Super pleased with this purchase.

Let me just start out by saying that I have a huge collection of Kindle ebooks, and the Paperwhite and Oasis are top-of-the-line in quality and function, far superior to any other e-readers in their price range. However, I wanted to purchase an e-reader with the capability of downloading other formats, as I also have books on Kobo, Google Play, Scribd, and Barnes & Noble's Nook. I'm an avid reader, if you hadn't already guessed, and I appreciate the simple and vivid text of a good e-reader, without all the glare and distractions of a regular tablet. A bonus with the Ares is a stylus and the ability to draw or take notes. The battery life is fairly decent; better than a tablet, but not as good as the Paperwhite. The screen is glare-free, and there's a variety of different fonts to choose from. The clarity of the text isn't as distinct as I'd hoped, but that could be because I've been spoiled by my Kindle e-readers. (No, I wasn't paid by Amazon to write this review, I promise!) The screen lighting is sufficient, allowing the user to adjust the settings to their preferred level of brightness, and to toggle between amber and blue light. Storage capacity is plentiful; I don't envision myself running out of storage space anytime soon. I did discover a few minor issues with this e-reader though, so I will disclose those. For one, the Ares seems to take forever to turn on. With other e-readers, you push a button and you're reading within 10 seconds. With Ares, you turn it on and wait. And wait. And wait. It takes almost a full minute just to get to the home screen. I've also noticed a distinct lack of speed while using this e-reader. It's a lot slower than any other e-reader or tablet I've used, with just enough lag time to make it fairly annoying, even with the options set to choose speed over quality. The home screen has been revamped to look plain and boring in comparison to what was shown when I was researching the Ares before deciding to purchase it. It comes preloaded with a selection of children's classics, which I'll never read, and sadly, I don't have any children with whom to share them. The home screen consists of icons of the apps that you add to the e-reader. No advertisements, no reading recommendations, nothing fancy at all, and, frankly, a little boring. Adding to my lack of satisfaction is that I'm unable to download the B&N Nook app, which was one of the main selling points for me when I chose to buy the Ares; I wanted to have all of my libraries of ebooks in one place, on one e-reader, and this doesn't satisfy that desire. So, while I can use this for everything but Nook books, I don't use it as often as I'd intended to. When reading Kindle books, I prefer the speed, clarity, and quality of my Kindles. This e-reader is okay for Play Books, Scribd, and Kobo, but for the price, I'd be lying if I didn't tell you that a small part of me regrets this purchase. I didn't return it because I figured I'd adjust to its simplicity and lack of speed, and I'm hoping that maybe an update will improve the quality and responsiveness in the future. Maybe I'll even be able to download the Nook app someday, as advertised, but that's my optimistic side showing itself and trying to justify the purchase! The last thing that I'll mention is that I was supposed to receive a leather cover with this Ares, but mine didn't come with one. I had to purchase a cover separately, which was an added and unexpected expense for an already overpriced e-reader.

UPDATE: the Boyue server is online again and I was finally able to update my device to the latest firmware version; the update indeed addresses the firmware annoyances described in my initial review, and really improves the UI so I'm adding a 4th star to my rating. Unfortunately, the update is a mixed bag: it removes the ability to save your notes as PDF or PNG files (you are now stuck with exporting them either as HTML files or via Evernote) and it also severly cripples the customization for the thickness of the pen stroke (1px - 9px) compared to the previous version of the OS.Initial review----------------I really like the device itself and it perform wells. The access to Google Play (I'm an Android phone & tablet user), the octa-core processor, the USB-C port with OTG support and the SD card slot were the decisive factors in my purchase choice; these work very well and I'm not disapointed regarding any of these features.SHORT VERSION: The device itself is great and I really like it (no buyer's regret), but the pre-installed firmware has issues. If you want something that 'works out of the box' (without needing to figure out alone how to work around annoyances or searching online for answers to your questions) and with responsive customer service assistance, this is probably not the right e-reader for you.GOOD:- the screen is comfortable to read;- the stock reading app works well (even though Moon+ Reader remains my app of choice for its ability to sync reading positions between devices);- the note taking is very responsive and the handwriting recognition AI does a surprisingly good job when it convert my manual notes into typed text (I have a neat and clear handwiting);- the A2 screen refresh mode does a good job with apps not optimized for e-ink screens;- the device is lighweight and comfortable to handle, even though I have carpal tunnel;- the device has a microphone, wich allows you to use voice typing if you install a 3rd party keyboard.LACKLUSTER:Most of these issues are specific to the pre-installed firmware (BYRead-V1.1.5-2019120415), and are allegedly addressed in an update (I haven't been able to install this update for more than 3 weeks now, because the Boyue server is temporarily shut down)- poorly tranlated UI (a mere annoyance, and I can easily live with it);- you cannot blend the hue of the screen lighting: it's either white or amber;- the home button interferes with note-taking as soon as you reach the bottom half of the screen: if your hand gets even close to it, the app closes, making it absolutely impossible to use the note app for anything more than jotting down a few lines. This is a major issue, and I worked around it by downloading a screen rotation control app (the stock OS doesn't provide any screen rotation control), and forcing the device to work in reverse portrait;- no audio jack;- the manual does a dismal job of explaining advanced functionalities (dictonaries, note templates, custom fonts): be prepared to have to search for detailed explanations in online forums.BAD:The customer service. After 3 days of unsuccessful attempts to upgrade my device to the latest OS announced on Facebook 3 weeks earlier, I contacted Boyue (support email + Facebook message) early in February to get assistance and request a direct download link to updgrade manually. I received a laconic 2 lines email reply 10 days later, informing me that the upgrade server had been shut down for the Chinese New Year and that it wouldn't be back up before... March. They didn't even bother mentionning the direct download link I had requested.

Estoy satisfecho con la compra.Como ya se han publicado otras opiniones con fotos de la caja y su contenido, no voy a repetirlas y adjunto fotos de pantallas de inicio, opciones de configuración, etc., para que os hagáis una idea de cómo son los menús y el funcionamiento, aunque solo llevo 3 días con él.Hace poco compré un lector de otra marca (Pocketbook) que tuve que devolver porque era muy lento, tardaba 15 ó 20 segundos en reactivarse desde el modo ahorro, cualquier texto se veía gris… y no tenía control de contraste, se llevaba muy mal con los Epubs grandes y para colmo… se bloqueaba frecuentemente. Este Likebook Ares note es mucho más estable, rápido y personalizable.Antes de comprarlo estuve mirado también el Boox Nova2 de 7,8” pulgadas, pero al final me he decidido por este Likebook Boyue Ares Note porque no llevaba gastos de envío al entrar en Amazon Prime, y es 82 € más barato que el Boox (porque además de no entrar en Amazon Prime te cobran 12 € de gastos de envío), a pesar de que el Boox incluye funda y protector, en mi caso la diferencia no me compensaba.Este Ares Note tiene lector de tarjetas MicroSD y altavoces, y el Boox no los tiene.El Ares Note lleva Android 6.01 y prometen que lo van a actualizar a Android 8, espero que no tarden mucho.Aunque el Boox lleva Android 9, leyendo reseñas, opiniones y reviews, me ha parecido que este Ares Note tiene menos quejas que el Boox sobre falta de correcciones de errores, mejoras, etc. Otros compradores parecen más contentos y no se quejan de lentitud ni nada, de hecho, yo lo encuentro bastante rápido.El envío por Amazon me llegó 5 días antes de lo previsto. Bien protegido en una caja negra con:- El Lector de Libros- un cable USB-C- un lápiz táctil Wacom- una bolsita con un extractor de tarjetas de memoria (como los que incluyen los móviles para extraer la tarjeta SIM o la de memoria), 3 puntas de repuesto para el lápiz y una especie de anillo pequeño… (¿?) que no se para que sirve.- una pequeña guía básica de uso, en inglés y en chino, pero si has usado un móvil o un Tablet antes tampoco hacen falta en español, porque nada más encenderlo te pide que elijas el idioma, y si eliges el Español y sabes usar un móvil ya no te hacen falta más instrucciones… hay que ahorrar papel y proteger el medio ambiente.La pantalla se ve muy bien como si fuera papel, por la alta resolución de 300ppp los caracteres se ven muy definidos y claros, incluso con letra pequeña. Tarda 1 ó 2 segundos en reactivarse desde el modo ahorro y, si lo configuras para que se apague por completo, tarda menos de 1 minuto en arrancar y estar operativo, mucho más rápido que el Pocketbook.Para mi tiene un tamaño ideal porque los lectores de 6” son demasiado pequeños y los de 9 ó 10 pulgadas son demasiado grandes. Las 7,8” que tiene este Ares Note es el equilibro perfecto para lo que yo lo voy a usar, aunque cada persona tendrá una opinión y unas necesidades distintas.Al encenderlo arranca una versión personalizada de Android 6.01, va bastante fluido, me pide actualizar a la última versión del software de hace unos días, el 14 de Abril de 2020 (600 y pico megas) y después también se ha instalado una actualización del escritorio de este mes de abril. Al parecer Boyue, el fabricante de Likebook suele sacar actualizaciones frecuentemente.Es muy fácil habilitar la tienda de aplicaciones Android de Google AppStore y que aparezca instantáneamente el ícono en la pestaña de Apps.He instalado alguna aplicación Android que uso habitualmente, diccionarios, etc., y se pueden instalar también las aplicaciones de otros lectores para no estar atado a un sistema o a un formato de libros ni tener que convertir formatos.Las aplicaciones que son mayoritariamente texto funcionan muy bien, las que incluyen muchos gráficos o colores y movimiento hay que activar el modo de visualización “A2” y adaptar el contraste para que vayan fluidos.Lleva un navegador de internet, puedes entrar en cualquier página web donde haya un libro en formato EPUB o PDF y descargarlo en la carpeta de “Descargas”, entras en esa carpeta, abres el libro y automáticamente te lo añadirá a la “estantería” con una miniatura de la portada. También se pueden copiar tus libros en una tarjeta microSD e insertarla en el Ares Note.Otro punto a su favor que me ha gustado es que hay muchas opciones de personalización para leer los libros a tu gusto, como por ejemplo el tamaño de letra, espaciado entre líneas, espaciado entre caracteres, márgenes, contraste, brillo, luz amarillenta para proteger la vista, forma de pasar las páginas, etc. Se pueden añadir “fonts” o tipografías (distintos tipos de letra), yo no lo he hecho todavía.He probado a escribir una nota manuscrita y que la convierta a texto y ha funcionado bastante bien, mejor de lo que esperaba… ha reconocido mi letra y la ha convertido a texto.La duración de la batería… me parece muy buena como lector, además se desconecta automáticamente el wifi para ahorrar energía, lógicamente si lo usas como Tablet con Android y sus aplicaciones, consume más.Desventajas:Nada importante, los altavoces que lleva suenan un poco bajito, pero tampoco le puedes pedirle peras a un olmo… un lector de libros tan fino no puede tener altavoces HIFI, en realidad la mayoría de los lectores de libros ni siquiera admiten ficheros de audio y el Boox que también es Android no lleva altavoces. Conectado con unos auriculares o un altavoz externo por bluetooth suena muy bien la música o lo que quieras oír y con volumen más que suficiente.En definitiva, muy contento con la compra. Lo recomiendo para cualquiera que busque un lector de libros más completo que los habituales con la libertad que da Android de instalar las aplicaciones y los libros que hayas comprado o instalado de otros lectores.

Der erste Eindruck, die Verpackung und auch das Tablet machen einen guten Eindruck.Ich hab einen Promotion und einen Test Film von 2019 gesehen.Dort war noch eine Schutzhülle im Lieferumfang. Die fehlt jetzt.Gerät gestartet und mit WLAN verbunden. Es hat dann 2 Updates durchgeführt.Nach einer halben Stunde konnte ich das Tablett nutzen. Android 8.1Ich hab gezielt ein Tablet gesucht das mir nicht mit LED Kunstlich die Augen bestrahltSo wie man es von einem guten Erader gewohnt ist kann man mit dem Gerät ohne Eigenlichtalso auch nur mit der Raumbeleuchtung zurecht kommen.Das Display ist wirklich das Highlight an dem Gerät.Aber dann hörte erstmal die Freude auf.Die Rockchip Basis Platine ist ein echtes Low Price Produkt.Es wurden keine Sensoren für Lage und Rotation eingebaut.Es sind keine Laut/Leise Tasten am GehäuseDie ins Gehäuse integrierten Lautsprecher sind sehr leise, das, um etwas zu hörenman sich das Tablet förmlich ins Ohr drücken muss. Regler EndanschlagSound über Bluetooth Kopfhörer ist verständlich aber noch zu leise. Regler EndanschlagSound über Bluetooth Lautsprecher (mit Verstärker)ist OK Normale Lautstärke Regler MitteAnaloge 3,5 mm Kopfhörer über USB C Adapter sind auch viel zu leise.und übersteuern dann auch noch. Regler EndanschlagErst digitale USB C Kopfhörer lösen das Problem. Regler in der Mitte ist schon laut.Aber die somit benötigten Kopfhörer gehören natürlich nicht zum Lieferumfang.Das nächste Soundproblem folgte gleich danach.Der vorinstallierte Musik Player kann nicht alle MP3 Codecs erkennen und spielt keineunkomrimierten Dateien WAV ab.Ich hab einen anderen Player installiert. Alles wird einwandfrei abgespielt.Zur Kommunikation mit meinem NAS Server war der vorinstallierte Dateimanager nicht in der Lage.Auch hierfür muss eine andere App genutzt werden.Mal was Positives, es lassen sich APK über den Dateimanger installieren.Das Tablet hat keine Lage Sensoren und ist erstmal fest auf Portait eingestellt.Im Browser, mit statischen Textblöcken ist das erstmal ein riesiger Mangel. Entweder istder Text zu klein und man zoomt und scrollt dann von Links nach rechts.Dafür sind diese Displays eigentlich viel zu langsam.So sind manche Webseiten einfach nicht lesbar.Das musste auch besser gehen.Hab dann die Rotation App von Pranav Panday (1,49E) gekauft.Damit lassen sich alle Bildlagen erzwingen.Erst alle benötigten Apps starten dann als letztes Rotation.Dann kann man über einen schwebenden Button in allen Programmendie gewünschte Orientation einstellen.Auch an den GPS Sensoren ist gespart worden.Wäre nicht weiter schlimm wenn in den Einstellungen nicht explizit StandortBestimmung per GPS einstellbar wäre sogar voreingestellt war.Übersieht man das, bekommen manche Apps keine Standortdaten.Man landet in einer Schleife; App geht nicht weil Standortbestimmung nicht geht.Lesen im gewohnten Koreader bringt auch so ein paar Handicaps mit sich.Das Tablet hab oben eine Service Leiste mit allen Funktionen.(Home; Zurück; Licht, WLAN, Systemeinstellungen.) Diese geht nicht in den HintergrundStartet man jetzt einen Koreder; haben beide auch oben eine Bedienleiste)So liegen beide Bedien/Service Leisten hinter und übereinanander.Manche Frau wird nicht so oft gestreichelt wie dieses Display,bis man die Service Leiste vom Reader erreicht.So kommt man doch schnell dazu den internen Reader zu benutzen.Der überrascht mich doch mal Positiv. Es können Touchzonen ausgew#lt werdendie auch funktionieren. Diverse Schriftarten sind zusätzlich verfügbar.und ich kann auch die Rotation auswählen. Allerdings sind viele Popup Menues und MeldungenGrottenschlecht eingedeutscht oder teilweise noch mit Chinesischen Zeichen versehen.Setzt man noch die Refreshrate von 20 auf 5 oder sogar auf 1, hat man auch richtig schwarzeBuchstaben. Hat man alle seine Einstellungen gefunden kann man mit dem Reader doch gutzurechtkommen. Er blättert jetzt schneller um als mein gewohnter Tolino.Beim Lesen (Hochkant) sind die linken und rechten Ränder des Tablets zu schmal zum festhalten.Ich Lese als Rechtshänder im Modus Revers Landscape .d.H Powerkabel/bzw Kopfhörer und Home Button links, dann rechts breiter Rand zum festhalten.Für Lesen im Browser kann man den A2 Modus nutzen. Schneller Seitenaufbau bzw Refresh.Bilder werden in Graustufengestochen scharf wiedergegeben.Der Bildaufbau und Touchfunktionen des Display sind damit aber nicht immer synchron.Ich sehe einen Text, einen Hyperlink, drück drauf und lande oft an einem andern Hyperlink.Mit dem Normal Modus des Displays (etwas langsamer, schwarze Schatten von vorheriger Seitebleiben ein bischen sichtbar) ist das besser handhabbar. Der Akku wird geschont.Videos anschauen ist fast ünmöglich, das liegt am langsamen Display und war mir bekannt.Fast alle Apps die wenig Farbe nutzen oder Graustufen unterstützen kann man anwenden.Das Likebook ist eines der wenigen Tablets mit E Ink Display , aber die vielen Kleinigkeiten die man in Kaufnehmen oder umschiffen muss, machen es nicht zu einem Highlight.Zum dem schon viel zu teuren Tablet kommen dann noch eine Tasche mit Display Folie und Kopfhörer.Das Set Tasche/Cover( einfaches TPU mit Deckel) und Display Folie( kein H9 Glas sondern einfache Folie)darf man noch für 20 Euro nachkaufen. Ich unterstelle mal Herstellungskosten von unter 1 Euro. Alles zusammen ergibt einen viel zu hohen Preis. Der ist überhaupt kein Highlight.Das Gerät ist nicht mit Liebe sondern anscheinend mehr von maximalen Profit getrieben, entwickelt worden.Für Augenschonendes Lesen, auch im Browser, ist das Tablet nach m.M. bestens geeignet .Dafür muss man dann aber auch die anderen Mankos in Kauf nehmen.Beim Reader ist die Vorlesefunktion hervorgehoben verfügbar.Leider können die Google TTS und auch Gudrun (nachgekauft) immer noch nicht vernünftigSätze erkennen und betonen. Es werden weiterhin nur Buchstaben aneinandergereiht und ausgesprochen.W o r t e mit Leerzeichen werden immer noch nicht erkannt und nur als Buchstabenfolge wiedergegeben.Da kann das Tablet zwar nichts dafür, die KI müsste weiterentwickelt werden, macht die Nutzung aber unhandlicher.Iich hab das Tablet mit 100% Akku gestartet.Morgens ca. 1 Stunde Nachrichten gelesen ( Browser Wlan)Mittags ca 1 Stunde gesurft Dateien Kopiert ( Browser Wlan)Nachmittags Ereader, Fernsehprogramm, BrowserAbends ca 3 Stunden ein Hörbüch genossenDas Tablet geht bei nichtnutzung nach 15 min in Standbytrotzdem war der Akku abends auf 15% runter.Der Akku 3200mAh scheint somit auch recht knapp bemessen zu sein.Bei gemischter Nutzung kommt man so mit dem Akku gut über einen Tag.Wenn ich Musik höre und starte dann eine andere App geht meine Musik erstmal aus.Das habe ich seid Android 4 auf keinen Tablet bzw Handy mehr gehabtDie Lösung ist einfach aber man muss den Kopf schütteln.Auf der Startseite des Tablett ist unten ein kleiner Unscheinbarer Button.2 Klicks weiter landet man in dem Menue "Bewerbungsmanagement" (org Überschrift)Anwendungsverwaltung bzw Application Management.Hier sind alle verfügbaren Apps gelistet.Es werden bei der Installation, wie man es sonst gewohnt istkeine Rechte für Hintergrunddienste freigegeben.Player, Reader und Browser freigegeben und siehe da es funktioniert.Es wäre hilfreich gewesen wenn der Entwickler seine Idee hinter so einem Produktauch mal kommunizieren würde. So muss ich mir alles in kleinen Schritten erarbeiten.Das Setup/Einstellungen hat nicht den gewohnten Menuebaum sondern die Einstellungensind irgendwie nebeneinander in Untermenues angeordnet. Viele Begriffe sind nur mit demGoogle Translator eingedeutscht worden. Sehr irritierend.Noch ein kleiner Gag zum Schluß:Ich hab bei Mica Mica, noch vorm Kauf, angefragt ob das Gerät/ Display auch einen Invers Mode kennt.Die Antwort nach einiger Zeit war NEIN.Meine Antwort auf diese Frage lautetSystemeinstellungen starten, Einstellungen. Farbumkehr einschaltenUnd siehe da, Invers Darstellung ist möglich.Was kann ich denn dann erst vom Service erwarten wenn ich mal ein echtes Problem habe.Für meine Augen ist das Gerät erste Wahl. Aber meine Geldbörse sagt, das ich hier ganz schönüber den Leisten gezogen werde.Nachtrag April 2021Bei Ebay vergleichbares Book gesehen.Hat die beworbene Hülle kann aber nur 2,4 Ghz.Im März gabs ein Update was genau gemacht wurde ist nicht erkennbar;subjektiv meine ich, das Display ist etwas schneller geworden.

30/04/2020Me llegó el 15/04/2020. De momento solo llevo dos semanas con él, usándolo mucho sobre todo investigando a fondo todas las opciones del ebook. De momento estoy contentísima, no gasta nada de batería leyendo, y si usas alguna app, sí que gasta más batería (evidentemente) pero nada sustancial. De momento si que he visto que la app "tagus" se come la batería en dos días!!! Cuando leyendo sin app dura 1 semana. La app de kindle si que me va bien. Quiero seguir probando y hacer una re-evaluación más adelante. De momento un 10!!!!!18/05/2020Llevo un mes con él y de momento estoy encantadísima. Ahora ya lo uso normal, y la batería dura más de una semana leyendo 2h al día más o menos. Tengo un par de apps que es lo que uso normalmente, y después todos los libros que he metido directamente en e-book. ¡Sigo dándole un 10!08/11/2020Llevo, como pone arriba, desde abril con él. Hasta hace 3 semanas no me había dado problemas, pero hace eso, tres semanas, que la batería se me bajaba de golpe a "bloques". A las 7:00AM estaba al 68%, a las 23:00PM al 28% (SIN USO, porque ese día no lo usé, sin la luz encendida, sin wifi encendido - porque lo tenía con apagado automático si no se usaba-) y por la mañana siguiente las 8:00AM batería acabada totalmente. Contacté con Amazon y una técnica muy amable y atenta me atendió y me puso en contacto con el vendedor. Desde hace 3 semanas hasta día de hoy literal, he estado mandando fotos, vídeos, pruebas conforme el ereader está defectuoso y pedía un reemplazo porque me encanta el ereader, pero la última semana el vendedor me dijo que pidiera reemplazo a Amazon y, que si no me lo hacían, debía enviar el ereader a Alemania para proceder ellos mismos al reemplazo pero pagando yo los costes. ¿Me están diciendo que un eReader de 290€ que viene defectuoso me dicen que tengo que pagar el coste de enviarlo? Puede que no sea para tanto, pero cuando ya llevo enviados varios mensajes con pruebas y por último pasa esto... es una decepción. A la técnica de Amazon le estoy muy agradecida por su servicio, de verdad, pero el vendedor... estaba muy ilusionada con este aparato que yo considero "innovador". Hoy, ya harta, he pedido a la técnica de Amazon que me devuelvan el dinero y les devuelvo el producto, evidentemente para comprarme otro porque lo uso tanto para trabajar como para estudiar. Dudo en si comprarme de nuevo este ebook, porque me ha encantado y creo que no debería pasarme otra vez porque veo que nadie se ha quejado de eso, así que estoy dudosa. Pero de momento la devolución la hago, y ya veré.

Bei dem Gerät habe ich einen zwiespältigen Eindruck, der immer zwischen "super" und "total besch..eiden" hin und her springen lässt.Dieses Tablet weiß eigentlich gar nicht was es sein will:Ein reiner eBookReader? Dafür fehlt ein, für das langfristige Durchhalten, leistungsstarker AkkuEin digitaler Notizblock? Das war er bestimmt tatsächlich einmal, aber mit dem letzten Update (Android 8.0, BYRead-V3.0.3-2020110521) hat man das total verschlimmbessert.Konnte man früher (entsprechende Videos bei YouTube vorhanden) noch einfach und unkompliziert mit dem Stift in Büchern schreiben und das ganze Buch einfach als PDF-Kopie exportieren, so kann man nur noch die Seiten exportieren, die Notizen haben (den Rest nicht), so das alles auseinandergerissen wird. Wäre das nicht schon schlimm genug, so wird auch noch automatisch ein Deckblatt hinzugefügt und zusätzlich werden die Seiten mit chinesischen Schriftzeichen (oben und unten) versehen und das eigentliche Blatt verkleinert.Möge der dafür Verantwortliche einer harten aber gerechten Strafe des chinesischen Werktätigenkollektivs zugeführt werden.Das eigentliche Notizbuch funktioniert dagegen hervorragend, läßt sich sehr gut bedienen und ein Export als PDF ist ohne Probleme möglich. Auch können sehr einfach eigenen Hintergründe z.B. Vordrucke hinterlegt werden. Das funktioniert dann auch mehrseitig.Das Schreibgefühl mit dem Stift ist ebenfalls sehr gut (annähernd wie auf einem echten Blatt). Auch gut ist, dass man die Fingerberührungen ausschalten kann, so dass es zu keinen ungewollten Toucheingaben kommt.Der Reader zeigt die Bücher (auch PDFs, die ich hauptsächlich nutze) in der Regel sehr gut an und es gibt eine reiche Möglichkeit um die Einstellungen nach Belieben anzupassen. Lediglich bei einem Magazin als PDF hatte ich Problem und das Programm stürzte immer wieder ab. Das ist aber kein Problem, denn man kann sich beliebig Software (also andere Reader - ich würde noch einen neuen Dateimanager empfehlen) installieren, die das ausgleicht.An manch eine merkwürdige Übersetzung gewöhnt man sich schnell und spielt eigentlich auch keine Rolle.Wie gesagt, der Reader wäre eigentlich gar nicht schlecht, wäre das Problem mit dem Exportieren der erstellten Notizen im Text möglich (ja, möglich, denn so ist das einfach nicht nutzbar und das ist nun einmal eine Hauptfunktion eines Gerätes, das das "Note" im Namen trägt). Ich hoffe da einfach mal auf das nächste Update, denn wenn das wieder funktionieren würde, dann wäre das mit der 3-Sternebewertung eine ganz andere Sache.UPDATE:Mit dem neuen Update (über 120MB groß) wurden alle von mir benannten Softwaremängel behoben. Daher habe gibt es nichts mehr zu meckern und das Gerät macht richtig Spaß folgerichtig wurde die Bewertung auf 5 Sterne angehoben.

Di per sé non è male, è abbastanza grande per leggere comodamente praticamente tutto solo che l'usabilità del pennino non è abbastanza matura, va bene per prendere appunti su fogli bianchi (tipo quaderno) ma se devi scrivere su file pdf (gli unici su cui sono riuscito a scrivere) quando fai lo zoom si sfasa tutto. Mi è piaciuto il fatto di poter scaricare varie app. Tipo kindle per leggere gli ebook che avevo acquistato sullo store e anche la possibilità di navigare su internet (anche se non ha moltissimo senso su un ebbok reader secondo me) che è cmq una cosa in più. La cosa negativa è che il software nonostante sia abbastanza fluido si percepisce che è ancora un po' grezzo, la mancanza di una modalità notte ne è un esempio. L'ho restituito perché cmq a questo prezzo mi aspettavo un po'meglio in generale e soprattutto dall'uso del pennino (che tra l'altro senza una custodia da comprare a parte non si sa dove metterla).
