Ok, so I was replacing grip screws and bushings on a Kimber 1911. #1, use the right tool. They sell them here on amazon and it looks like a minature socket with a small bar and screw. That tool is NECESSARY for this replacement imho. I tried using a strait slot and you just cant get the solid leverage on the bushings, you will mess it up. That being said, these popped right in, threaded perfectly and were of correct size - EXCEPT - one of the bushings was about 3/4 of a rotation too long (about 1/1000th?). And at least one of the bushings I removed was not in all the way from the factory. AKA- when you install them, dont torque em down, use a TINY bit of loktite if its not already on it. Mine had that in the frame holes already. Install these with the tool and DONT torque em in. Just to contact. Check your mags. If everything is working smoothly, continue with all installs and have at it. My drivers side upper screw bushing had to be backed out a tiny bit from tight to allow for magazines to smoothly eject. I dont think this is a screws and bushing problem. Likely it was my gun as only one of these had the problem and that one happened to be the one I had to back out/was not down all the way to start with. Happy shooting everyone!

I had changed grips on my Ruger SR1911 9mm commander and ordered these to replace the originals. They fit perfectly with the Hogue rubber grips. I did have to be careful to not start the bushings cross threaded, just took my time to start it right and worked great.

I installed a Hogue grip with laser on my 45 year old Colt 1911, Gov't model, Mark 4, Series 70. The old bushings and screws came off, but no longer useable. I bought this product because a needed both bushings and screws. The bushings installed perfectly into the 1911. The grip went on perfectly as well and the screws also fit great. I was very happy with this product at the point of installation. I went to the range today and used my new grips on the 1911. The screws loosened a bit and I had to tighten them, but not much. I am also glad the screws can be tightened with a small flat head screwdriver.

Everything fit perfectly except for the screw head was a little too big and my grips isn’t exactly tight. Other than that, I am content

I used these to replace grips on my Remington Model 1911 R1 and they matched factory screws/threads perfectly. They arrived in 3 days.

The product sees fine but they are not oversized as in the description. They are just standard GI spec grip bushings

Clean, solid, fits the hole in trying to shove them into. Can't really ask for more than that. The flat head screw looks much better than the hex screws that came stock.
