Handmade Pottery Coffee/Tea Mug Polish - 12 Ounce Rustic Stoneware Ceramic Cup Clay Art by Oojdzoo (Q)

This is described as 3.2"×4.3" and holding 10 ounces but it is 3"×4" (those 0.1s make a difference, trust me) and holds a maximum of 8 ounces filled all the way to the rim. While it is pretty on the outside, it's too small to be practical and the interior feels like almost a rough plastic. I can't really describe it but it's not a standard glaze and seems....unsafe to me, unsafe as in it looks and feels like Teflon or something weird, like what did they use?!? I wanted to like this but....I just don't.

I guess I should've read the reviews first. I mean, it's ok. It's smaller than I expected. As someone else mentioned, it doesn't appear to be thrown pottery, but ceramic. And while I understand that slight differences in glaze and color are to be expected for a "handmade" item (very doubtful that this is), I was expecting at least a 3 color pattern of green-cream-purple based on the photos. It is green and black. This is a black ceramic mug that someone poured green glaze over. I'm sure it will function, just not what I was hoping for.

While the mug is beautiful, it does not appear to be as "handcrafted" as is advertised. Also, the company brochure included in the box was slightly awkward for my 12 year old daughter to open, as it advertises a handle made to look like male genitalia in multiple places. Wish I had bought something different, but will not return.

Beautiful workmanship, great feel, handle is perfect. This one holds about 10.5oz, I understand handmade items will vary a little bit in size. No matter, it is my favorite mug! It is shipped in Styrofoam and pretty gift box. Well worth the price!

This coffee cup is what I would call ceramic and not pottery. The description on Amazon does mention ceramic so caveat emptor if you are looking for a pottery coffee cup. It appears to be machine made. Also it is on the small size. It is a pretty coffee cup so I am keeping it as it is a gift.

This cup was advertised to be 12 oz but it is more like 13 or 14. I wanted 12 oz. Also, the finish is dull matte instead of glossy like I'm used to for coffee cups. I am pretty sure that scum and germs would build up much faster and be harder to clean off a matte finish. Returned it.

I loved this mug, but broke easily at the handle! Also, it's a bit small.

My favorite coffee cup! Attractive design, perfect size and well made. Highly recommend at a fair price.

The cup is beautiful but is very thin and doesn't keep the coffee hot.
