Overall this is good thermometer, it was an upgrade for me with the wireless feature. I bought it to use with my smoker. I only have it 4 stars however, because the timer only goes to 99 minutes. It doesn't measure hours. When using the smoker, I'm usually smoking for hours at a time. Other than that it works well.UPDATE: I used this thermometer about 8-9 times with my smoker and the transmitter stopped working. It started with not being able to turn the transmitter off. Then after removing the battery to turn it off, it will turn back on when putting the battery in. However, it no longer recognizes that the probes are attached, so it's not the power button, but the circuitry in the transmitter that has failed. This unit was never left out in bad weather, in fact I never even took the plastic off the screens. I've lowered my review to 1 star due to the longevity of this unit and I would not advise purchasing this model.

I bought this unit in Feb, used it with the smoker at least 4 or 5 times a month and I loved it. It was accurate and the alarms were great for letting me know when to add wood or close vents. But it's Nov. now, Thanksgiving day, I have a duck and two hens in the smoker and the probes stopped displaying an accurate temp and I can no longer set functions like turning on or off alarms. Great unit for a while but seriously fails the durability test. I would not recommend nor buy again.

Especially for slow grilling/smoking the ability to monitor the temperature of the grill where the meat is sitting is important. This lets me do it, from inside if I want.This can be set for higher temperatures than normal meat settings as well which is useful for roasting/baking.I was asked to rate "Warmth" but have no idea what that means in this context.

I can't believe I waited so long to buy this device. I thought it would be like my old bluetooth style remote meter. This thing smokes the old one. Distance is so much greater that I can actually enjoy my day again while smoking. The oven temp gauge was basically the reason I pulled the trigger on this one and it was worth every penny I spent. I have recommended this to several of my friends

This is my third wireless thermometer and it blows the other two away. One was Maverick brand and it lasted maybe two or three smoke sessions and the other was an off brand and that lasted about three smoke sessions. All the we about the same price. This Tranmix is the real deal. The probes all seem heavy duty compared to the others. Nice quality electronics too. The best bbq thermometer I've ever had. Oh and the set up is much easier to use and understand.

Amazing thermometer, I went from a single probe to 3 and omg what a difference it makes, I temp multiple things at once, or on a meatloaf different parts so I can keep an even cook...great deal for anyone that likes to bbq, I even used it in the oven, very glad I got this...

Got this with my new Weber and Slow-n-Sear insides. All recipes give you temp, not time. With this I get my grill temp, and 2 meat prob temps. Don’t burn my s*&t anymore. Family actually likes Papa’s cooking now while I can sit inside, drink a beer and monitor food. Life is good. Recommend.

Easy to operate and the range is very decent. I like that there are 3 probes so you can do a couple different meats at the same time. I am going to buy another one for my father to use as this takes the guesswork out of grilling to make a perfect steak or roast every time!
