GROSCHE Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker, 6 Espresso Cup (Black Steel)

This is the best greca I’ve ever had. The stainless steel construction makes it feel very solid and well built, and it is incredibly easy to clean and keep clean compared to other coffee makers I have used. It makes excellent coffee every time, rich and strong, just like Puerto Rican–style coffee as it ought to be. The flavor is great, and the brewing process is consistent. If you are looking for a durable, easy-to-maintain greca that makes outstanding espresso-style coffee, I highly recommend the GROSCHE Milano Steel.

I bought the 6 cup some weeks ago now and make espresso coffee 5-6 mornings a week. This size is perfect for giving me one typical size coffee mug-sized serving. I really enjoy the intensity of flavor and am on my 2nd bag of 20oz Lavazza Espresso Medium Roast. I really cannot have 2 coffee cups of this though as I am flying with that much caffeine! The quality of this unit is topnotch and I would not change anything. I use this on a portable induction cooktop placed on my kitchen's coffee cart at all times. I am disappointed the Amazon site states it is not available at this time as I wanted to purchase one for a gift for someone who has said they want a mocha pot. If you use this on a traditional stove burner (not induction) I'd place it so it comes to the edge of the burner instead of on the center, otherwise the handle (I imagine) would get hot. perfect for an induction burner, IMO.

I've been using this coffee maker an average of once a day since I got it in May. It always makes perfect coffee for me! I grind 4 tablespoons of coffee beans per batch with the maximum water level (just barely touching the bottom of the valve in the reservoir, fills 2 large mugs) and the coffee is strong and smooth without off flavors every time. When tightening down the threaded connection, there is no need to over tighten it. If all of the pots are machined the same, I've found that threading it on until it is just a little snug with the handle oriented over the valve (like in the picture) is just right. This is a very efficient way to get the most out of your coffee beans, it takes at least a couple of weeks to get through a typical 12 ounce bag of beans. Cleaning it daily is a little bit of a chore but it's worth it in my opinion. If you're a busy person and don't have time to wait for it to boil and then clean it every day, it would still make a nice treat for slow mornings and your days off work. During the time I've had it, I moved and have used it with 2 different gas ranges. Not all gas ranges are equal, the range I'm using currently finishes making the coffee in about a third of the time of my previous one (less than 5 minutes starting with cold water). I'm not sure how it is on electric but I imagine it would take quite a bit longer. An aluminum pot might be better for an electric stove (since it conducts heat quickly), but if you have plans to ever get an induction stove like I do this steel pot would work while the aluminum pot would be useless! I love this thing! It's well made, so satisfying to use, not that expensive, and I think it's going to last me for years to come.

Didn’t want aluminum percolator. This one is great, stainless steal, strong coffee, easy to clean, and durable. I would give it a five star rating, however the handle gets too hot sometimes to pick up. Otherwise, fantastic!

Upgraded from moka pot. The stainless steel vs the aluminum is immediately noticeable- smell and taste. Very happy, husband is able to make himself a big ol cup of coffee in the morning and fill up most of his cup with just one go. Weve have it for a while now and there is staining/ slight wear from the finish on the butt of the pot but nothing out of the ordinary. Additional plus is the silicone gasket part comes out and can be cleaned thoroughly Room for improvement - when checking to see how it’s coming along, you have to use a utensil to flip up the lid because it’s hot.

Great for hot espresso/ lattes & iced coffee. It makes enough for a hot latte in the morning then a couple iced lattes later. Just fill the bottom with water below the safety vent, add your favorite finely ground coffee into the funnel (scraping the top like measuring flour. No need to compress ) & screw the pitcher snugly on top. Set it on your stove top, works great on my electric burner, and listen for it to stop percolating & you have a tasty espresso, latte or ice coffee. Yum! You don't need a big espresso machine taking up counter space. The stainless steel cleans easily. I'm very happy with this purchase. I recommend

Still experimenting with brews but overall a great product. Well designed and easy to use. Need to let it fully percolate to get a full pot ( I find it easier to leave the lid open so that you can see when brewing finished).

Recibi una cafetera usada, tiene manchas de agua, de cafe, residuos y huele a cafe. No ordene una cafetera usada. La caja del producto estaba totalmente rota por ambos lados, estaba abierto. Espere tanto por esta cafetera para recibirla en ese estado. Un amigo me recomendo esta cafetera y sin dudarlo la ordene y eso fue lo que recibi.

Very happy with this purchase. It replaced a 6 cup Bialetti that was just two small for two of us. Unless you are getting a high-end espresso maker, the moka pot is probably the best choice. I love that it’s easy to clean, simple to use, won’t breakdown and makes great coffee. The Grosche is stainless steel, works great and looks good. Shipping was very fast. Totally recommend.

I've always been a fan of Italian brand (Bialetti) coffee makers and have used one and loved it for a decade. It was time to buy a new one and I began reading reviews that the quality has gone down. I recently purchased one that was cheap, cheap poor quality. So disappointing! I wasn't sure I'd find a good replacement, but I did my research and discovered GROSCHE. This is a *fantastic* stovetop espresso maker! Beautiful design, beautiful quality and makes delicious coffee! The weight, and materials are all top notch - including proper metal hinge on the lid, not cheap plastic. I love the silicone ring inside too, instead of rubber. Also love what this company seems to stand for, though I haven't done my research to confirm the claims. Would recommend this company over the old school Italian ones for sure!

The gauge of steel used in the top part is a bit thin which makes it a little flimsy, but it's still really good and I do recommend.
