Bad Product. Prepare for a potentially frustrating DIY fix. Installation Suggestions Included.
Installation Instructions included below. BUT Don't Buy This Product and prepare for a potentially frustrating DIY if you doFirst let me say that this is a beautiful looking item. The light glows very softly through the filter of the soft white interior lining and helps to make the bamboo slits glow! It is peaceful, relaxing and very aesthetically pleasing. (see pic #4)But I would not have bought it nor kept it if I hadn't already invested too much time and money dealing with i: it is a very cheaply made and poorly designed item, impractical in its design for installation or maintenance. In addition, the instructions are scarce and the entire shade/cover (other than the natural weave) are held in place with only a hot glue gun (meaning if you decide to try another way to rig this in place as many reviewers here have attested to, it's going to be a hell of a time disassembling it, especially without potentially breaking something.) Also, the electrical unit I received had hardly any exposed/available length on the wire- only about 1/2" inch to connect, so I had to do some cutting in order to have more coil to work with, however, there is VERY little room for error because you are not given a lot of electrical cord to work with, so be aware. The main issue, however, is the nearly impossible task of figuring out how to get the shade on the lamp rods. The main problem as you can see from my photo is that the rods in pic#1 (which are supposed to stick into the 1/8" shallow holes of the shade- see pic #2) are extremely stiff and will not easily bend to fit inside the shade. It is not possible to have a large enough gap for your hand to reach inside while bending the inflexible rod and also searching to slide it into a very small hole that you can't see from the outside, while also needing to press upwards to close the gap your hand has to be in in order to keep that rod bent- if you can bend it at all. Therefore, if you're looking for a quick easy product, this isn't it. If you do buy it, install it when you have a lot of time and patience and good luck! So, the rest of this post is for people who bought the light and are having problems installing it.First a note for consideration if you plan on removing the bottom panel: if doesn't appear that you can easily take apart the shade and reassemable it around the mounting fixture because 1) the weave could easily break (see mention above) and 2) the smaller flat circle panel in the shade is held together by hot glue seems to be inset as well- meaning, it needs to be installed from inside the shade and not after, which defeats the purpose of opening up the shade to install everything in the first place. I could be wrong on this, but that's how it looks to me. If you find that this is somehow an option and give it a try, let us know how it went.I came up with a few solutions you could try for installing the shade if you have trouble:1- DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE. you could use some kind of very heavy duty double sided adhesive to mount the shade directly on to the surface of the ceiling if you use a metal cutter and cut about 1/2" off one of the rods so the shade can fit over it. This is fine if for some reason you plan on never changing out the light bulb in there again or don't mind carefully ripping it off every few years and readhering it. Lining the entire rim of the shade with a strong double sided 3M fixture adhesive may work on your ceiling if it is the right surface or you could use a plastic UV curing glue.2- WEAVING: if you cut about 1/2" off of one of the rods, make a slit through upper section of the interior plastic near the rod, and get some twine with a curved upholstery needle. Knot and tape the twine to each rod, slide it through plastic slit, then get your upholstery needle and weave it loosely through the ceiling-facing side of the bamboo slots and going in and out of the rim; after you get all the way around, pull the string tightly into place and knot it closed, preferably in a way where you can easily untie it again when you need to change the bulb and then simply re-tie the ends again. You can think of this mechanism similar to draw string bag.3: FOAM TENSIONER: by far the easiest and most efficient method, especially if you have small hands. Cut 2"x2"x2" inch squares out of very durable styrofoam (one that doesn't crumple everywhere. Place this flush on the tips of the rod then slide them down into the shade. On the third rod, you will need place your hand on the center of that rod and bend it down just enough to slip the end of it inside the shade. If you don't have some sturdy forms of foam and use the material included in the packing box, I would duct tape the cubes all around to reduce the chances of the foam breaking or degrading over time. This method more easily pops on and off for changing the light bulb at a future time. You can think of this method more like using tab inserts to create uniform tension all around.#3 is the method I used and I included a photo of the design here in case it if helps (see pic #3). Good luck to everyone who bought the light! I hope installing it is easier with these suggestions and that it looks beautiful if your space!

Beautiful light, but the final step in the installation is a real pain
We really love the light (got it for our nursery) and the dimmer works perfectly. The only complaint is that the final step of the installation -- popping the cover on, which will have to be done each time a lightbulb needs replacement -- is very poorly designed. The cover has to go onto three spokes, none of which are on a spring or retract, and there is just no easy way of getting the cover on there; we almost broke ours because of the pressure it required, and we had to have a tall ladder (that we had to go out and buy) to really be eye-level with the light to finally get it. If that design element was fixed, it'd be a much better product.

Visible glue
I do love the design but I wish there wasn’t glue strikes all over it. Once you in the ceiling it’s not very noticeable but have me the feeling of a poorly made product.

Don’t purchase
I am returning this light. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Way too difficult to install and an absolute nightmare to change the bulbs. Not worth it, too bad because it is such a pretty light fixture

Photo great, product not so much. :(
Product was nicely packed and arrived with no damage. However, the quality of construction is poor in that where it is glued together you can clearly see the excess glue from below the lamp itself. Not pretty. Once hung the metal top mount is not at all flush with the ceiling. I expect a little gap here and there as not all ceilings are level, but as you'll see from the photos there is only one edge that is anywhere near flush with the ceiling. Biggest issue however, is that there is no way to get lightbulbs into this thing. The diagram seems to indicated that the bottom of the rattan globe detaches, but it does not. It is glued. We tried to get in from the top and also could not figure out how bulbs were suppose to enter that way. So, I am sorry...this one is getting returned.

Do not buy this item!!!
This light is an awful design! We were unable to install. Terrible instructions. Doesn’t fit any standard ceiling fixture. We called a professional to install. They couldn’t figure it out and said this item is junk. Also, NO WAY to change light bulbs after installing! Seriously! You would have to dissemble entire fixture to get to the bulbs! Looks great- horrible design.

Too dim
The light looked great out of the box. The quality is there but due to the design it was actually quite difficult to mount. If you ever have to change the light it would be a pain to do so since you have to take it apart then re-mount it. After I mounted it and turned the light on it was way too dim even with 2 bulbs. Had to return it since it wasn’t providing enough light for my taste.

nice looking but tricky to install
I really like the look of this lamp and the light that it gives. The bottom of the shade is covered so the light is nicely diffused.I bought this to match another one in the same room (see link below) and the really look great together. The other one is a pendant, this one is a ceiling-hugger. Same style. But the 3-prong configuration makes this one super complicated to install, especially since it is so close to the ceiling. It's worth it in the end, but don't start your installation till you have the time and the patience to do it. I am not looking forward to having to change a bulb...The pendant version:https://www.amazon.ca/LITFAD-Antique-Lighting-Adjustable-Restaurant/dp/B07YD3MJDR/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-p13n1_0?cv_ct_cx=LITFAD+Antique+Lantern+Pendant+Lighting&dchild=1&keywords=LITFAD+Antique+Lantern+Pendant+Lighting&pd_rd_i=B07YD3MJDR&pd_rd_r=48c910de-9d84-4450-96af-63ca51d3a4f6&pd_rd_w=eNhqV&pd_rd_wg=9DFE5&pf_rd_p=4dcdfeef-6cbc-415a-b49c-10c88b3f3420&pf_rd_r=Z3TMVC20KVV03Q4T9SYP&psc=1&qid=1603288251&sr=1-1-a14f3e51-9e3d-4cb5-bc68-d89d95c82244

Poor Construction and Design
The only reason it doesn't get one star is that the unit casts nice light once installed, but otherwise it's a nightmare to actually put together. Even when put together correctly the white mounting plate it comes with is too thin to hold its shape so the lamp "sags" away from the ceiling on opposite sides from the mounting bracket. Imagine if support points are at 0 and 180, then at 90 and 270 there's no support and therefore these try to pull away from the ceiling (see photo).Bottom is not removable like the instructions say; so even when you do manage to get this installed changing lightbulbs down the road will require you to fully dismantle the light AND unwire it. It's very strange because when I look closely it appears that they had intended for this to be a feature, but didn't incorporate it. Obviously these were rushed out of the factory.I don't think the light has any safety approvals. Was looking for CSA, CE or equivalent approval stickers but there's nothing on the instructions, no stickers etc. I'm a bit nervous to keep the light I installed. The only reason I kept 1 of the 3 units I ordered is because it would be too much of a hassle to take down at this point. When I need to change a bulb I will probably just throw the unit out and find something else (what a waste).

Not as shown - large white base/bracket
The product is now exactly as shown or described in the photos. As you can see the mounting bracket isn’t a small piece that fits inside the wicker part. It’s a large white base that the wicker part attaches to. So you will have a white base showing, which is not what I wanted. Not a huge deal when looking at it from below, which is why I haven’t return it. Also you do need to remove the light to change the bulbs as the others suggested.
