🐭🔔 Never miss a catch—trap smarter, not harder!
The Mousetrap Electric Alert System is a battery-operated device that connects to most leading snap traps, providing instant sound and notification alerts when a mouse is caught. Reusable and easy to install, it eliminates the need for frequent trap checks in low-traffic or hard-to-access areas, enhancing pest control efficiency.

Work quite well
This item work quite well. It work so well that it notify me at 3 AM in the morning and I had to wake up to deal with as I can no longer sleep with the chirping noise every minutes. And after turning off the chirping alert, the thought of having a dead mice laying there was not appealing that I had to take the snap trap outside and dispose of the dead mouse in the trash at 3 AM in the morning. But I rather having to wake up at 3 AM in the morning than not knowing about it for week and the mouse has stank up the whole place.Other review thought that this is ingenious. It was so ingenious that retards at Victor Mousetrap makers could not think of it in regard to their electric mousetrap. Electric mousetrap already have a flashing LED alert. How hard is it to have an audible alert like this instead of just the flashing LED that I might miss if I don't look directly at the electric mousetrap. This guy is a genius or maybe other people, such as VICTOR & other electric mousetrap maker, are just retarded.Note: This snap alert only fits the regular mouse trap, and will not fits the regular rat trap. However, if you use the made2catch rat trap, then this will fits a rat trap of this design. (See attached pictures)

Seems to work when tested
You need to tack down the trap and the noise maker in the proper relationship. I used a one by. Worked when tested just fine. Have not caught a mouse unfortunately and other traps that are identical but without the electronic noise maker caught many. I seriously doubt if this thing is detering the critters, but time will tell. Definitely overpriced for the job at hand, although one stinky mouse just might change my mind.

Like many homes
Like many homes, no matter how hard we try, inevitably mice will find their way through some tiny crack into our basement, especially in winter when the mice try to escape the frigid tundra that is the Great Northeast from November through March . I'm personally not a big fan of those small furry creatures and so we set a few traps to keep the population down. With knees that don't care for basement stairs any longer, our trips to inspect the traps are infrequent. Consequently discovery of a successful catch often occurs several weeks after the poor creature's demise. A new strategy has thus been wanting. I recently came across a potential solution on Amazon with this Snap Alert device. This clever little piece of technology is designed to signal a successful catch so that the body of the small furry one can be removed from the premises in a timely fashion. I am pleased to report that my tests indicate that triggering a trap equipped with Snap Alert generates a sound that is readily heard upstairs. All that now remains in order to put our high tech traps into action is for winter to arrive along with our furry intruders! (My current rating is based on my simulated tests! I will update my review after my first catch.)

Just what I needed!
I have to put traps in my attic and it was a pain checking the traps all the time. This Mousetrap alert system is what I needed. It chirps every minute letting you know we got one! It is about as loud as when your smoke detector alerts you that the battery needs replaced. I bought 6 of these and couldn't be happier.

Simple, clever and helpful.
My husband and I have renters and, unfortunately, we had a mouse problem last winter. We decided to prepare for it ahead of time this year and got basic mousetraps and the snap alert. We really like the idea of being alerted when a mouse is caught in the trap. This way, our tenants don't have to deal with the mice themselves. Also, we have one tenant who is away for long periods of time, so the alert will let us know we need to go clear the trap.Although it hasn't been truly put to the test (yet), we have experimented with the alert's operation. The set up was simple: 1) set up the mousetrap, 2) make sure the lever of the snap alert is down, and 3) slide the mousetrap up to the snap alert, end to end, with the lever over the bar of the mousetrap. There's tape to keep the mousetrap in place, but we haven't "activated" that yet. When the mousetrap is activated (i.e. the bar pops) the lever to the snap alert goes up and the alarm sounds. The alarm is loud enough to hear, but neither the volume nor the tone is obnoxious. It doesn't go off incessantly, but will sound the alarm every 60 seconds until it's deactivated.I think this is a very clever idea and it will certainly come in handy for us and to anyone who doesn't want to keep checking the traps. Oh, and the batteries are included!

Can Work with Rat Trap with Modification
This alarm does not work with rat traps out-of-the-box. This is no surprise since the manufacturer says that it won't. When mounted as instructed, the lever is too low and it is not possible lower the lever when the trap is set.I first tried to mount the alarm atop the trap instead of mounting with the tab on the bottom of the trap. That didn't work. The trap would trip but the alarm lever would not flip open. The solution was to attach a small zip-tie to the trap bar and then to release the alarm lever and insert the end of the zip-tie into the alarm. The alarm uses a contact switch that the lever holds open until the trap is sprung. With the alarm lever up the contact switch is allowed to close and the alarm then sounds. The end of the zip-tie is inserted into the contact switch to hold it open. When the trap is sprung the trap bar yanks the end of the zip-tie out of the alarm and the contact switch closes.See photos for this configuration when set. It's a little tricky so BE CAREFUL!
