I finished with a goofy smile on my face.
Well, I have to say romance writers have really stepped up to the plate lately with book covers. I mean look at the cover for Bossman…HUBBA HUBBA!! It’s definitely one of those covers that you have to study really, really close up to appreciate all the goodness. He’s wearing jewellery and it’s distracting…I can’t seem to take my eyes away from it. Now me, I’m fascinated with the visual aspect of body piercing. In reality, I think it would freak me out. They’re always talking about tugging on them or sucking on them. Wouldn’t that hurt? How hard is too hard? Could you tug too hard that it would stretch like a gauge? I think I’ll leave the body piercing to others and just enjoy them from afar.In this case, we have a beautiful representation of our hero Chase Parker. This brings up another question…how the hell would you be able to work effectively if your boss looked like that? I think it would be very hard to concentrate. He’d have to be a jerk to offset his hotness. What about if the boss is hot, funny and seems to want in your pants? Could you maybe overlook jerkish behaviour? Hmmm…I think Reese held out for all of about two seconds. Don’t blame her really.Reese is on a really bad date and looking for an out. Surprisingly, a fellow diner overhears her dilemma gives her some unwanted advice and tells her to not be such a cow. She cannot believe the nerve of this very, very hot man. What would he know? He hasn’t had to sit there listening to her date talk about his mother all night. She leaves him and tells him to take his advice and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. A little bit later he decides to crash her date with his date to make it one big party just so her night wouldn’t end so badly. Reese's night ends on a high and she thinks she’ll never see him again. Fate has something else to say about that, though.Chase is stoked when he gets the opportunity to see Reese again. She keeps popping up on his radar and when she’s not in front of him, he’s thinking about her. This is very unusual for Chase and he knows that he has to have this woman. Slight problem, though, she’s kind of with another guy (been on two dates with him), and now Chase is her boss…well her boss’s boss to be precise.Reese really likes her job working under Parker but doesn’t want to be under Parker if it means it will affect her job. She’s passionate about her work and doesn’t want a relationship to jeopardise it. When things finally become too much and they decide to have a relationship, Reese asks Chase to keep it quiet for awhile. Reese has a bad history with inter-office relationships and she doesn’t want to repeat her mistakes.Little by little we get to know Reese and Chase more. Reese’s survived a very bad experience that happened when she was younger and Chase is recovering from a loss that happened seven years prior. I found it refreshing in Bossman that most of the time Chase and Reese are honest with each other. They don’t purposely misguide, lie or hold back information and try to be honest about their feelings and thoughts. In some cases, it takes a little time for the truth to push through, but mostly they realise that honesty is the best policy. Isn’t that refreshing? An author who doesn’t draw out the drama unnecessarily…ALLELLULIA!!Overall, I really enjoyed Bossman. To start with I wasn’t a huge fan of Reese as she came across as really silly. Considering she was supposed to be this really educated and smart marketing executive she shows no sense at all with the way she acts. Luckily, the stupid pill didn’t last long and we see a much funnier and smarter Reese as we move along. I absolutely loved Chase from the very beginning. He’s cocky, smart and cheeky and I was worried that he was too good for Reese. Luckily, Chase is far from perfect. His history is sad and has had a long-lasting effect on him finding happiness. There is a time towards the end of the story where he hurts Reese but I never once worried that it was the end for these two. Seeing his struggle and knowing that he was choosing to suffer through it alone made me want to reach into the pages and give him a hug. His story hurt to read.I started Bossman chuckling and I ended Bossman with a goofy grin on my face. Yes, at times in between I was sad, mad, glad and really turned on but it was the type of story where each emotion was needed. To me, it just all fit together perfectly…or maybe they just fit together perfectly. I loved Bossman and enjoyed it so much I added it to my favourites 2016 list. Chase Parker also gets special mention for being an outstanding hero.***I swear every review I start typing I think I’ll just keep this one short. Never happens ;-)***

4.5 ‘lovin’ the bossman’ stars
OMG, this was such a great read! Smart, funny, sexy and romantic with epic banter, heaps of chemistry and a whole lot of heart. It’s fun with a nice amount of drama and feels, and I devoured it in one sitting. I loved it!Reese Annesley is on a first date which is boring her to death when she is ‘rescued’ by Chase Parker – a brash, gorgeous stranger who overhears her complaining to her best friend on the phone and crashes in on her dinner with his date to make it a double and save her night. They slip into an easy ruse of playing ex-high school sweethearts, and have a blast while doing it.There are a few more accidental run ins after their first encounter – each one more flirtatious and banter-filled than the last, heightening their attraction to each other so that the sexual tension is sizzling. Which makes thing all kinds of awkward then Reese gets the marketing job of her dreams at the company that Chase owns and runs. Well, awkward for Reese, Chase sees it as an opportunity.“You want the truth? … I’m attracted to you. Really attracted to you. Have been since the first time I saw you. Tried to be respectful, considering you were seeing someone. Done doing that. If you work here, I’m going to try to get you into my bed.”OMG, this man is sensational! Sexy, confident, and charmingly arrogant, he doesn’t hide his feelings from Reese. He wants her, and he takes every opportunity to let her know, and it’s freaking hilarious! The constant flirting and dirty talk is both super-hot and laugh-out-loud funny, and the banter is epic! Of course it’s made all the more intense by the fact that Reese wants him just as badly. But she’s been burned by an office romance gone wrong before, and she’s not keen to make the same mistakes again. But their attraction proves to be irresistible, and oh holy God it’s HOT!!! And it’s not just sex. There’s a true connection between them which is explored beautifully, and I could feel the true emotion as they effortlessly slipped into something meaningful.OMG, I love these characters! Reese is a great heroine – smart, sensible, wonderfully witty and instantly relatable, she's a great match for Chase's huge personality. The man is just perfection! He has that charming arrogance thing happening, he’s a dirty talker who is sexy as all hell, but he’s also funny and sensitive, a genuinely nice guy with a huge heart, and I just adored him! And together they are something very special. What I love most (apart from their insane chemistry) is the fact that they wear their hearts (and their libidos) on their sleeves. They don’t hide the fact that they’re attracted to each other or the true feelings that start to develop. They’re honest and open, and they get it all out there, asking when they aren’t sure about something, talking when they have a problem, and sharing what’s going on in their heads and their hearts, and it’s SO refreshing! There is some drama in the form of old pains from the past resurfacing, and though it’s heartbreaking, I thought it added a wonderful depth to the story. It shows a different side to both of the characters who are placed in an incredibly emotional situation, and it’s handled realistically, written in a way where I could feel everything that they were both feeling, and it gave the story a wonderful edge.I loved it! Absolutely freaking loved it. It’s a great read with the perfect balance of humour, romance, sex and drama, and a swoontastic epilogue to finish it all off.4.5 stars.

Uhh...I'm clearly in the minority
Well, 3 stars because I usually love Vi Keelands books and the cover model is breathtaking. But this was just a disappointment. So cheesy. With lines throughout like this, "Although, I’m going to be right here…making it hard for you.” It was my turn to lean in. “Is that in the literal or figurative sense?”No chemistry. No love. No connection. Just lust. It's been a few days since I finished the book and already forgot both their names.I'm a kindle unlimited member, and this wasnt a KU book, but I bought it anyway, which further irritates me.If a cheesy, no connection, quick, light read is what you want, then this is for you. It just wasn't for me.

BOSSMAN @VIKEELANDThis book!! I need a minute!!!!From the opening quote- If you want to know where your heart is,Look where your mind goes when it wonders. To the closing quote- don't focus on the what ifs, focus on the what is.I loved every single word of this book. This book isn't just a dirty office romance book it has depth, two stories of loss and guilt which brings two people together.Don't get me wrong this book is hot!!!! Chase is a dominant CEO with a sense of humour that had me laughing out loud, but he's also sensitive and caring and wears his heart on his sleeve which is rare in my personal opinion. ( I think I have a new book boyfriend crush to add to my collection)I can't finish my review without mentioning Reese the female lead 🙂 i loved her!!! I too have a habit of repeatedly checking doors and locks, and am overly safety conscious, so I could relate to her.@vikeeland thank you for this brilliant read, this book, the story the characters will stay with me a long time 📚

The Ultimate Bossman
I couldn't put this down! And I'm starting again from the beginning to make sure I didn't miss anything! The banter between Chase and Reese is panty-dropping hot. The chemistry is on fire. This is very well written, and I just couldn't get enough! Add in the heartbreak of their pasts, the fight to hold on to and realisation of what they have, it made an amazing read. The bed scenes were perfect, not too crude but enough to make me jump my man lol. So do not disturb sign back on my phone as I devour this again

Totally awesome 5 star read !!!!!!!!
I love Vi Keeland and I love this book. So well written and these two characters are just brilliant to read and explore. Vi does this so well and who doesn't love a book about a sexy boss you really don't want to work for.Reese Annesley is out of work and looking for job. She is out on a date one night which isn't going so well when she literally bumps into Chase Parker and they exchange heated words but you can just feel the chemistry already starting to build - but when will she ever see him again. Well sooner than she thinks as he ends up being the CEO of the new company she is starting her new job at.Reese is a delight to read, she is feisty, fun, sexy and a handful. Chase - OMG where do you start with this man, built like a God - funny, sexy, hot with an attitude to die for, I want him to be my boss, he is a dream come true and a pleasure to read in every way possible. This is about their story of working together as boss and co worker, and just how long it will take them to rip each other's clothes off and devour each other. Honestly - this cat and mouse game between them is explosive and addictive and sexy and hot as hell, the sex scenes are extremely hot and Vi keeland writes them so well. This book is a MUST read and not to be missed and with a book cover like this - leaves little to the imagination of what Chase Parker just might look like, yep he can come and examine my resume any time. Brilliant in all ways !!!!!!!!!

Brilliance !
Bossman - Vi KeelandOh my god !! I absolutely loved this book. This is a sexy, fun and beautiful read that has a heart wrenching twist laced through. The first chapter had me captured immediately and honestly I didn't want to put the book back down! I've giggled, swooned, cried and swooned again over this story. From the off set I could sense the magnetic fields that were working in sync to draw the two main characters together and it was so alluring to read. This is my first read by this author but it has definitely left an impression on me that you can be rest assured it won't be my last book I pick up by Vi Keeland, I look forward to reading more from her. Why it has taken me so long to pick up one of her books I have no answer for but now I'll most definitely be keeping her on my radar.I adore the characters in the story. They were such a perfect counterpart to one another, they meshed so well it was easy to start rooting for them to get together. I have to say I am so pleased they weren't a book couple that meet and suddenly fall in bed together, the author draws out the attraction between them at a deliciously smooth pace that works perfectly for the book and story - THANK YOU FOR THAT. NO WAM BAM HERE -thank heavens.Reese meets Chase while she's out on a bad date and he overhears her calling a friend to help get her out of it. He becomes the friend to help when he suddenly joins her date!! -too funny! There's no denying there's an instant attraction but when Reese takes a job within the company Chase is CEO of she lays down rules of "no fraternisation". Chase simply tells her " I'll rewrite the rule book" and boy does he do that !! Chase by name and Chase by nature. He relentlessly pursues Reese which offers up some hilariously funny situations and one line gags - I laughed so much my husband asked if he should read it !To wrap it up this is by far one of the better books I've read this year - which according to my reading challenge is book 69 ;) out of 100 target I set myself. You have to read this, if like me you love a hot sexy CEO mixed with a sassy talking female and sexual tension coupled with laugh out loud banter then I can guarantee you'll love it!!!

A Fabulous Read!
This is a fantastic contemporary erotic romance. I LOVED IT!Reece Annesley is a wonderful character. I really liked her. After an office romance goes sour, Reece finds herself looking for a new job. But her social life is just as dire. When a stranger rescues her from a boring date, she becomes intrigued with him.Swearing off of office romances, she finds herself fighting her attraction to the mysterious Chase Parker when he becomes her new boss.Chase Parker is a fantastic character. I really loved him. He has a tragic past, but I loved his sense of humour and his inventive storytelling. He is the CEO of a successful cosmetic company. When he rescues a damsel in distress (Reece) from her boring date he wasn't looking for love, but something about her drew him to her.I have been a huge fan of this author's ever since I was first introduced to her books in 2013 and I read Belong To You. When I heard that this book had been released I downloaded a copy of it and began reading it as soon as I could.I started to read and was quickly hooked. I didn't put this book down until I had finished it. It is very hard not to gush about this book and give spoilers. The only complaint I had (if you could call it that) is that although this story is told through the eyes of Reece and Chase, Reece's story is told in the present while Chase's is a flashback to his past for the most part. I understand why the author did this as she needed to show his backstory. However, I would have loved to have had a few more scenes from him in the present to see what he thought of Reece, especially when he first met her. Nevertheless, the story kept me turning the pages. The chemistry between Chase and Reece is extremely explosive from the start and hot enough to scorch the pages. Their witty repartee kept me smiling. I also loved meeting a few of the other characters who were likable and lifelike. In fact all the characters were lifelike, with flaws and insecurities which made them more real. There was a twist that I didn't see coming and left me in tears, and the story took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. I loved the dialogue and the way the characters all interacted; I could picture everything in my mind's eye with ease. I reached the end of the story with mixed emotions because I didn't want it to finish. But, sadly, all good things must come to an end. Luckily, I get to re-read this story whenever I want to revisit it.Vi Keeland has written another exciting erotic romance. I love her writing style, which is fast paced and exciting. The story flowed wonderfully too. I love reading this author's work. She is one of my favourite contemporary romance writers, and I will continue to follow her career with interest. As this is an erotic romance, there are several scenes of a sexual nature that are rather hot and explicit. Therefore, I do not recommend this book for readers younger than 18. However, if you love hot, steamy erotic romances, this book is for you! - Lynn Worton
