Using for 12 volt Starlink Conversion
We're running Starlink Dishy from our 12 volt house battery bank on our sailboat and used this PoE. So far working great after 1 month of use.

POE device uses all 4 pairs
Use case was to use this device to power an ODU Wireless Antenna from Soyealink. It used all 4 pairs for the POE and operates at 19V 1.5A. The existing POE device could not be used as I was placing the device in my off grid cabin. So in conjunction with a 12v to 19v dc-dc converter I was able to operate the device without having to run a 120V AC inverter.Item operates as expected.

Failed in less than 90 days with no warranty support
I was using this POE injector to power my Starlink dish. I fed it 48 volts DC and the draw was never more than 80 watts (snow melt never used). That is within the specs for the device. It failed in less than 90 days. Using an ethernet cable tester I determined that there was no continuity on several of the ethernet wires. I used Amazon's "contact the manufacturer" button to contact TyCon and report the failed device. Within a day, they responded and indicated that the device has a 3 year warranty and I should fill out an online request for an RMA and they would get back to me. Ten days later and no response. It's a $16 device with a serial number. Once they verified the serial number they just should have sent one out. Instead they are supplying inferior products and not honoring warranties.

ALMOST a 5, but....
What I have to give one less star for is the fact that it can be difficult to fit wires in the mount unless the wires are the correct gauge. I have 16ga and it can be tricky to keep the wires in there since theres no real 'mount' for this unit.Altogether its been perfect for my usecase - converting 12v to 48v for POE in an RV, but the wires in there are giving me a headache enough that I'm going to have to get a smaller gauge wire to feel more comfortable.

Works well for a Starlink battery board
I built a battery based power board for a Starlink dish and this POE injector worked to adapt the dish to a router to be able to get WiFi from the system without the OEM Starlink router. This and two other components (48VDC converter and a YAOSHENG Rectangular Dishy Cable Adapter to RJ45) and I was up and running off a 12 volt car battery.

Good value. Works for Starlink 12v conversion
Works great for my Starlin Gen 2 12v conversion.

Works for Dishy DC Power
Worked great for modifying my StarLink Dishy to DC powered. Be sure to “Xcross” modify both RJ45 connectors that plug into the injector. See photo I attached (source outsidenomad.com). Forum research shows the injector does not tolerate shorts even for brief durations. Be sure to wire it correctors the first time.

They just don't stand the test of time.
Every Tycon PoE device that I've purchased -- and there have been at least 10 via Amazon and other sites -- has failed within 3 years. Time to switch to another manufacturer. Actually, past time.
