Excellent to have in case I only have wired headphones
Haven't used it yet. It's good to have, now that these phones don't have wired headphone capabilites. Having to go through the charging port is ridiculous. Regardless, excellent product to have, thank you!

Audio input unreliable
I tried this for live streaming longer church services. The microphone input through the jack on this adapter (3.5mm TRRS) did not transfer reliably. The sound was crackly at best, and mostly absent. This was with a variety of input devices, both powered (RODE Wireless Go mic) and unpowered (earbuds with mic). Calls, voice memos, and live streaming tests all failed. I had to replace this with a Belkin model, which reliably does what it is advertised to do, for twice the cost.

Not great
Doesn't work very well. Get a humming notice, and not very loud. Doesn't charge very fast.

Shoddy build, technically works.
The sound is mostly fine, except several times I have gotten crackling if it was in the wrong position. The big issue is the build quality. It frels cheap and it's already falling apart after a week of use (pictured.) Also, I'm not positive if it's an issue with the Pixel phone or the way it's wired, but if I try to charge it while using the headphone jack it seems to prioritize the USB-C connection and no sound comes out, so it's completely useless for what I bought it for.

Left and Right Audio channels are swapped.
My headphone jack on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 had a bad connection to the right channel. Instead of paying $100 to have someone fix it, I opted for this adapter. The adapter works well for charging and audio (I use it for both throughout my work day) but for some reason the audio channels are switched.I've tried testing this with the android sound settings and with my music player. Left channel audio comes in on the right side and vice versa.I'll live with it as it's definitely better than only having one channel, but I feel like this is a ridiculous oversight.

It's kinda quirky, but it sorta works...
At first, I didn't think this was working at all - had music playing through the adapter to my headphones & then plugged in my charger to the adapter, but nothing happened. It turns out that the adapter won't pass power through to your phone if you're already listening to music - I had to pause the music, disconnect & reconnect the adapter to my phone, then plug in the charger to the adapter, and finally restart music. Then it works as it should. Oh - if you disconnect the charger while music is playing, it pauses the music, so you'll have to contend with that. It may be an issue with how type C connections handle simultaneous power & data passthrough - the adapter behaved the same way with both my Google Pixel phone & Samsung tablet. It does not appear to support fast charging, either, no matter what phone charger you use (no "Charging Rapidly," indication). But the intent is to keep the phone charged while listening to music or GPS driving directions on long trips. I just need to remember to initiate phone charging before turning on the music!
