I think a seamless cutting board is superior to a conventional seamed cutting board for two reasons. One, there is no glue on the cutting surface to deteriorate which could otherwise lead to harboring bacteria. Second, if this cutting board fails or splits it won't likely affect the cutting surface. Worst case it will be wobbly or warped but the cutting surface will still be intact and therefore remain sanitary. Having ordered two of these, both were very well-made and have no imperfections that other reviewers have encountered.I recommend oiling this cutting board over several days before use. I got a huge 17 oz bottle of cutting board oil from IKEA for about $4 but I would probably go with  Snow River 8-Ounce Wood Oil  as a smaller quantity is less wasteful and it's still plenty to last a while.Finally, even as sanitary as this cutting board may be I still would NEVER cut raw meat on it. I have a separate wood fiber cutting board  Epicurean Kitchen Series Cutting Board, 17.5-Inch by 13-Inch, Natural  to use for raw meat that can be safely sanitized in the dishwasher after use. By using this Autree cutting board for all other cutting applications, it is easier on knives and they don't have to be sharpened as often if just using a wood fiber cutting board all the time.

My husband was dying for a bamboo cutting board, so when I saw this online I couldn't pass it up. The price was better than those of comparable size I had found in other stores like Walmart or BB&B, and I especially like the drip line that frames the board itself. My husband has been a big fan of it too-refuses to use any other cutting board now. It has stood up to any knifer meat he has throw at it (not literally, of course) and has been easy to clean and care for. Would definitely recommend to other prospective buyers!

It's a good one but my husband thinks it's a little too large for people like us who live in an apartment without a huge kitchen. He also complained about how heavy it is. It is not very easy to carry around, clean and dry.

After reading about the dangers of cutting on plastic boards, I decided to upgrade to this wooden one. Soo glad I did! This board is beautiful and way more sturdy than I expected. No flaws or blemishes, with a nice deep juice groove. Looks wonderful on my countertop. Came packaged well in it's own box and wrapping. I used coconut oil to rub it with, it absorbed right in. Just wonderful !

Nice size for basic chicken sectioning and veggie dicing. Good solid feel and weight. Gave it a wipe down with teak oil and it's good to go.

Unlike many if the other reviews for this product, I did not receive a discount for my review. I just bought it based on those reviews and I immediately returned it.The size is fine. It is not huge, but it's a good size for washing. Board was solid with no cracks. This is not my first bamboo cutting board, I have another I've had at least 6 years that is still working great.I returned it because when I ran water over it to wash it, tons of tiny splinters/hairs popped up and were coming off. No way I want that in my food and I shipped it back with no issues at all, didn't even have to print a label. I truly don't understand all the rave reviews.

I LOVE this cutting board. It's well-made, heavy duty and decently thick without being overly heavy or big. Knowing the cutting surface is all one piece is the reason I purchased it. I love bamboo and other natural materials to cook with to keep things as chemical-free as possible. I would recommend this to anyone.

The board is not flat! It rocks and wobbles on the table. Also, the surfaces were a bit coarse so I had to sand them down a bit before use.
