I try to be, truly I do! But I am pretty rough sometimes. However I will say that the carafe has stood up really well in my kitchen. The filter is a whole different story. I had to have it replaced after only about a month of using it and with the filter I actually was pretty gentle. I think the one thing I did wrong was to use a wash rag to wipe the inside. The inside mesh came detached from the outside. However when I called up the company and I let them know what was going on they sent me a whole new set. So I was very happy with the customer service. It is very light and easy to pour from. It functions very well as a carafe and I usually don't spill any coffee from it. It's capacity by measurement is for liquid measuring cups. All in all though I would hope that I would not have to buy this again anytime soon. I will say that should anything happen to it and I couldn't have it replaced by the company I would definitely replace it myself and buy it again. Great Customer Service!
