NEW Combo BLUWAVS CD and FLAC FILE

This CD contains their biggest hit Tippy Toeing.
This a good Cd and features some great country classic songs like Merle Haggard's Sing Me Back Home, George Jones's The Race is On just to mention a few. The only disappointment is it doesn't contain all their single releases, only 2. This is a great CD to add to your classic country collection, because once it's gone, it's not coming back!

Tippy Toeing / Sing Me Back Home~Harden Trio
This CD is excellent quality. I purchased this item on LP back in the mid 60's and was so glad to finally see it available on a CD format. If you like good harmony from family members this is a must buy CD.

A Gathering Together Of The Two Columbia LPs Recorded By This Talented Country Trio
From England, Arkansas, The Harden Trio (Bobby and sisters Robbie and Arlene) put 5 songs onto the national Country charts from early 1966 to late 1968 for Columbia and, despite these two CD compilations currently available, completist hits collectors are still looking for 3 of them and one of their B-sides in that format.First off the mark was Collectables in 2002 with their 22-track volume titled "The Harden Trio - Tippy Toeing/Sing Me Back Home" which pulled together the contents of their May 1966 LP "Tippy Toeing" (Columbia CL-2506/CS-9306) - tracks 1 to 11 - and their April 1968 album "Sing Me Back Home" (Columbia CL-2833/CS-9633) - tracks 12 to 22.Contained therein is their first and biggest hit, Tippy Toeing, which reached # 2 Country and was kept from # 1 only by the 7 weeks spent there by Buck Owens' Waitin' In Your Welfare Line. But it also crossed over to # 44 on the Billboard Pop Hot 100 on Columbia 43463. The B-side, Don't Remind Me, is also here, as are the respective flipsides of their next two hits, Husbands And Wives and Childhood Places, which backed Seven Days Of Crying (Makes One Weak) - a # 28 in Nov-Dec 1966 on Columbia 43644 and Sneaking `Cross The Border - # 18 in May-June 1967 on Columbia 44059. Unfortunately, neither hit side was part of the two albums covered. However, both sides of their fourth hit are included, with He Looks A Lot Like You topping out at # 56 in February 1968 b/w My Friend Mister Echo on Columbia 44420. It also includes the February 1965 failed single Poor Boy (Columbia 43229) but not the flipside, Let It Be Me, and both sides of the June 1966 non-charting single Dear Brother b/w Little Boy Walk Like A Man (Columbia 43710).What we don't have anywhere on CD are both sides of the failed August 1967 single Forbidden b/w Manana (Columbia 44249) and their last hit as a trio, the July 1968 # 47 Everybody Wants To Be Somebody Else b/w Diddle Diddle Dumplin' (Columbia 44552). Also impossible to find on CD is the Dec 1968-Jan 1969 # 64 Who Loves You? - a duet billed as The Hardens Arlene & Robbie on Columbia 44675 b/w This Is Where You Get Off. Note, too, that in 1968 there was a re-release of Tippy Toeing, this time backed with Husbands And Wives on Columbia 33128, and in 1974 the trio reunited on Good Old Country b/w Down On River Road on Papa Joe 710.When I first saw the 2012 release by Goldenlane Records under the title "The Harden Trio - Tippy Toeing ... Essential Masters" I momentarily had my hopes up that here, at last, was a definitive collection of their charted sides and B-sides. But then a closer look revealed it to be the same 22 tracks as the Collectables release, albeit in a different order. So, all things considered, if all you want is a nice gathering of the music of this talented trio, I would recommend the Collectables volume which has quite decent sound reproduction and interesting liner notes by Ralph Emery.

FINALLY!
FINALLY! A re-issue of one of the best and most overlooked and underated groups in country music history. If you're only familiar with the cute and classic "Tippy Toeing", you're in for a treat. Beautiful songs/harmonies you don't get to hear these days and way too long unavailable. If you love good country music you're gonna love Bobby, Robbie and Arleen, The Harden Trio.

Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
This was one of my favorite records when I was a child. I played that 45 untill it wore out. I have been looking for this music for over 20 years and appreciate the re-release of it. If you love old country and honky tonk music, this one is a must for your collection.

The music contained was as I expected. However the crystal CD case was damaged and cracked.
