This wire wheel works good for removing gasket or silicone material on automotive parts. The bristles last!

Quality wire wheel
Will buy again. Removes rust as well as polishing with light touch. Good value and plan on buying again. Seems durable after about 2 hours of use no noticeable wear.

Works fine. You may need spacers
It works fine, but be prepared to come up with your own spacers to get it to fit onto the grinder. I have an older model Ryobi grinder, and had to experiment with a range of washers and spacers to get this unit to fit. Once I got it mounted, it worked quite well.The fibers will started to lean in one direction after a while, so I took it off, spun it around, and remounted it. Worked fine, but there are individual strands that will fall out. Don't use this thing without wearing eye protection, and shoes. And keep the kids away. If one of those strands gets in your foot, it'll smart.

Balanced fine brush wheel works beautifully
Good price for a well made brush wheel. I put this on a 6" bench grinder and appreciate that the wheel is decently balanced, such that it causes minimum vibration when running. The fine wire is perfect for stripping calcium deposits and polishing metal threads and fittings, and for removing paint and rust from most metal surfaces.This fits both 1/2" and 5/8" shafts; there is a plastic bushing that reduces the 5/8" opening to 1/2". It's important that you slide the wheel onto the grinder with the open side facing out, or the bushing will slide off the wire wheel when you install. Virtually all wheels come with this bushing, and I recommend hanging on to the ones from old wheels, just in case you lose one or need.I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and am glad that I saved a few dollars by not buying a larger name brand.

Fine wheel

fit perfect in my new machine but
The media could not be loaded. This wire brush fit my new machine well but I made some adjustments since the grinding disc is wider than the brush. With some nuts and washers that I used as a spacer, I was able to get it to the site without having to remove any cover or accessory from my new machine. I gave it 3 stars for that very reason when I bought the machine this article came out as a recommendation,I thought it came with all the spacers but it didn't...

Make sure the hole size is good for your bench grinder
Make sure the hole size is the same as your bench grinder i make the error but it worked really great

Well balanced, low vibration
The main difference between these slightly more expensive wire wheels and the cheap hardware store ones is balance. These are well balanced and run with very low vibration on a bench grinder. Well worth the couple of extra bucks.
