Gratifying when a purchase is this exactly right.
The last time I found kitchen towels this good, I was cleaning out my grandmother's attic. Those old towels seem to get softer with age and lasted forever. When I pulled these out of the box, it was like going back in time 50 years and making noodles with my grandmother. These are a lot like her towels. These are made from a long staple cotton twill fabric. Twill is a durable weave and a towel this gutsy will be able to stand up to tons of washing. My grandmother used a scrubbing board and boiled hers. These might fade a little but they look like similar work horse. The cotton is soft and thirsty for drying dishes, or counters. When making noodles we first used a towel like this as a pastry cloth to roll out the noodles. These towels look like they are perfect for rolling out pie or noodle doughs. Heavy enough to lay flat. Once the noodles were cut we hung them to dry. My grandmother took a towel just like this one, folded it in half end to end and lightly stitched a pouch with long running stitch to store the dried noodles in a dark cool pantry. You didn't realize you would want to do that with these I bet.I don't make noodles any more, but I do use a big kitchen towel from France to place over loaves of bread while they cool. These are big enough to cover about five loaves of tea bread and cover the sides. These come with a thoughtfully written card with washing instructions. Add 1/4 cup of salt to the first wash to help set colors. (This also works with any cotton fabric that tends to run or bleed.) No detergent with bleach alternative! (For stains try treating it with lemon dipped in salt.) Avoid fabric softener as it can repel water. Try using 1/2 cup vinegar per load to get rid of smell and leave them soft. Dry on low temperature. To avoid the edges curling I took mine from dryer right away and firmly smoothed out. Twill weave has “play” and any curl will come right out.Altho I forgot to measure before washing, after drying these are 19 X 26.5 inches. These would make a great gift for cooks, and minimalists who just want to buy 4 towels that will probably last 10 years. I liked the towels so well, that I bought a second set in TEAL and had them shipped to a cousin. She just called to say they were “exactly right.” Makes two of us.You can tell how stressed out we are. Just getting four really nice kitchen towels made our week!

Nice Towels...
These 100% cotton towels are a good size and weight (not flimsy). Following the laundry instructions that were included, I added 1/4 cup of salt to the first, cold wash [for color retention] and dried them on LOW. The towels didn't shrink or wrinkle much (wool dryer balls helped). Only minus, after laundering, all the end seams folded over. The only way to flatten them out would be to iron them.P.S. 5-Stars for The Homemakers Dish! The towels arrived quickly with a 'Thank You' card that included care instructions. It was an extra nice touch!

The best dish towels you will ever use
I was attracted to these towels by four things: the classic, traditional style; the large size; high absorbency (soft cotton); and the promise of low lint. These towels lived up to every promise, which is amazing. I love them, and I think I found our next go-to wedding gift. Every kitchen needs at least one set of high quality, beautiful dish towels, and these are the best I've ever used.

Solid, heavy dishtowel
These are pretty good for the money. I followed the enclosed instructions and laundered them right away in cold water with salt, to set the colors. My only beef is that the edges curl up. I had been looking for an alternative to the Williams Sonoma towel, which has changed radically over the last few years. These are not a bad alternative, but definitely not the same.

Package never received
Those towels are made of high quality, soft cotton. The edges, however, curl after the first wash, and even more after I put them in an electric drier at low heat. I considered drying them using a drying rack but since the cotton is thick, I still prefer using the drier. Before the first wash, they were a little water resistant, but they absorb more water after the first wash. Overall good quality towels.

STILL GREAT AFTER A YEAR OF USE!
If I could give these towels more stars, I would! I have had these for well over a year now and have washed them many, many times. I wash them in my front loader with detergent and a 1/4 cup of salt each time (no softener) and then dry on medium (no dryer sheets- I've heard they can make towels less absorbent). They've never absorbed that weird mildew smell that other towels have. They're SO soft, wrinkle free, super absorbent when drying dishes/hands/counters, no lint, and they still look great. We use them daily in our kitchen and they work perfect with my farmhouse style. I haven't noticed shrinkage, but I also haven't really been looking for it. I do have 3 sets of these that I have bought over time and all 12 towels seems to be the same size as one another. The ends do curl a tiny bit as others have mentioned, but they still fold and hang well.

Non-absorbant towels with curly ends
This towel is advertised as "ultra absorbant." What a joke. It merely smears water around on the surface. Additionally, the definitions said it came out of the dryer "wrinkle free." Wrinkle free, maybe, but the ends are curled up. The washing instructions said to iron the towels. IRON? Who irons a dish towel?? I bought two sets of these at $23.99 for each set of four. That's a lot of money for something that looks pretty only when it first comes out of the package. I'm now going to try to get my money back.

"Simply the Best"!!!!!
These tea towels are awesome I still can't believe how big they are and the material is much thicker than what I was expecting. All in all these are the best tea towels I have ever had the privilege to use. I own decent tea towels now at long last and they at a very good price here too. I will be buying more of these tea towels. These are well worth every penny. So buy them while they are going at this price. 10/10

Nice teatowels
Very large and thick teatowels. No complaints here look nice enough without being too decorative. These teatowels are larger and thicker than most so should last a long time. Would reccomend .
