GREAT STICKS
I'VE BEEN PLAYING DRUMS FOR WELL OVER 40 YEARS. AND I ONLY WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD STICKS LIKE THESE WAY BACK THEN. THEY ARE THE BEST STICK BY FAR THAT I'VE EVER USED AND HAVE USED NONE OTHER FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS.

Hornets 5A
I find the 5A sticks too heavy and thick. Much heavier than regular 5A.Hard to get used to them. Not as I hoped.

articulate
These sticks sure look cool and stay centered in your hands. The balance is good for articulation and light, fast cymbal playing. The round wood tips play nice warm sounds on cymbals BUT if they don't make nylon tips then i won't be ordering any more.

Wonderful Balance and Vibration Reduction, Weights Are Heavy
So I bought these sticks about 2 months ago in an attempt to alleviate some of the vibration that I was getting from my electronic drum kit. These sticks are a lot better weighted and built than the Zildjian Anti-Vibe drumsticks. The Zildjians suffer from the opposite problem of these sticks, in that hollowing out the stick tends to give it a much lighter weight than you might be used to. I use 5As in almost all situations, and so I bought the 5A Hornets. The sticks are much heavier than any normal 5As, and they do take some getting used to. I really love the balance of the sticks, and there is significant and noticeable reduction in stick vibration. My hands, wrists and elbows are thanking me.I purchased the natural sticks with no coloring, and the finish on the sticks is a little rough. I'm thinking I will likely purchase another pair, but I'll go with the lighter 7As and try out a pair with one of the colored finishes. Helpful tip for anybody considering buying a pair, buy one step lighter than what you usually use, and consider one of the colored finishes. With those 2 improvements, I'd give these sticks 5 stars for sure. Overall, while the sticks are a bit pricey, they are solidly built, well balanced sticks, and well worth a little extra money.
