Color:White The Phantom Wireless Lapboard and The Phantom Wireless Laser Mouse together are a combination wireless keyboard and mouse where the keyboard opens to a hard mousing surface at adjustable rotating angles, that enables users to work or play from a couch, easy chair or any comfortable setting for Internet TV, HTPC or Gaming. The Phantom Lapboard is the only wireless computer peripheral which allows the consumer to use a "mobile desktop";the hardware combination is designed to allow full control of the keyboard and mouse without the need to be sitting upright at a desk. The Phantom Lapboard includes wireless technology, ergonomic design, one-touch features, and a wireless high definition 1200 dpi laser mouse. In addition, the Phantom Lapboard also rotates for left and right handed users and inclines up to a 22 degree angle with a hard surface support for the Phantom mouse that is designed for Internet TV, game-specific and business software applications on PC, Mac, PS3 and other gaming platforms. With the Internet TV revolution launching this year, the Phantom Lapboard provides consumers with the ability to use this exciting new technology to its fullest potential, not being docked to a table, trackball or touch pad. Consumers can easily utilize all the features of the new Internet TV user interface, which will now marry the television and the internet, from the couch or bed using the Phantom Lapboard.

Don't bother.
Bulky, awkward to use, cheap feeling. Battery compartment nearly broke trying to open it to insert batteries. SHIFT keys non-functional. Disappointing item all around. Returned for refund.

Functional
It gets the job done. I had to locate the RF receiver onto the front of my pc case in order for it to work well when I'm sitting 15 feet away from it. The keyboard limits your typing speed to about 20wpm. Any faster and it will miss some of your keystrokes. Mouse works well. I use it for gaming and haven't had any problems with it.

It's ok, it's big, it's heavy, mouse is trash; should be cheaper
Item arrived with exploded batteries, the keyboard range is better than the mouse range. Also, the mouse is definitely not designed for any sort of gaming other than solitaire or minesweeper. This keyboard is HEAVY, nearly 5lbs for whatever reason. Would be 5 stars if the mouse was any good (more/better buttons, form fitted, increased range, etc.) To be fair, this is technology from 2006 and has likely been sitting in a warehouse for the last 8 years (hence the blown generic china batteries). If you have a good mouse already, this is a neat keyboard for couch gaming/ht media pc use.Edit: After 3 Days of light use, the keyboard was inconsistent with the WASD keys (essential for a lot of good games). I have changed my rating to 2 stars and have returned the product for a full refund.

Been sitting on the shelf for years
I bought two of these, one of each color. Both looked like they have been sitting in the bag for a couple years. The bags are so old, both were starting to yellow.I removed the keyboard from the packaging and peeled the plastic away. The white one showed a horrible amount of plastic transferred from the bag onto the finish of the keyboard. The black one had a lot of plastic transferred as well but it was harder to see.Ignoring the plastic transfer/ruined finish, the build quality is OK. The keyboard types like a laptop. It feels comfortable on your lap. The angled typing surface doesn't really bother you becuase you can bend your legs slightly different to straiten it if you have to. I really wish this product would of been in better condition so I didn't have to send them both back. This is not really Amazon's fault though. It's just like they have been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for a couple years. Unfortunately the plastic that transferred onto the finish of the keyboards could not be removed on either black or white. I'm going to have to purchase mine elsewhere with hopes that their stock is in better condition.

Simply perfect for new age PC gaming
Now this is the best product for PC gaming of 2011 and beyond. If you're still sitting at a desk when you're gaming on your PC, or even still gaming on a small sub 30" monitor, you are not doing it right. There's a reason why jet fighter pilots are sitting in a more laid back position, because it's ergonomic positioning and you're at your most alert. This keyboard/mouse combo permits you to sit in any chair or couch and be comfortable and alert when gaming just like a fighter pilot, allowing you to be more immersed in the game than what you'd experience leaning forward at a desk. And the truth is, it made me a better gamer using this, but it takes some getting used to after leaning forward all those years.I've been using this every day for a year now, and its really quite awesome. It's already proven that sitting at a 135 degree angle puts the least stress on your back than leaning forward or even sitting up straight, and thanks to military testing they've discovered that sitting at that angle is far superior for twitch reflexes.Pros:Lets me sit on my sofa and being very comfortable all the whileVery responsive for gamingErgonomics Excellent for extended periods of gaming >10hoursAwesome designCons:Battery life isn't the best (about 7 days), could be the brand of rechargeable batteries I am using.Sensor needs to be in line of sight (I use a usb hub to solve this)The mouse pad portion may feel a little claustrophobic at first, but you get used to it.Overall it's totally worth it, the convenience, response time and coolness factor really overwhelm the cons.

THANKS AMAZON: It' OT Annoying anymore!
The first one I received was defected. It would have stopped typing by now actually. However, this one is working just fine. It is kind of hard to gt use to the layout but that is a minor complaint. This keyboard allows me to sit back on my bed while I type a review or paper or screen play. So much better then the smaller wireless keyboards these days. I personally like the bulkiness.ONE MAJOR complaint with the company is they have ZERO customer support. I still have not even an automatic response. Amazon saved me by letting me trade in the defective device at no charge with a new one!!I LOVE YOU AMAZON!!

4 foot range, slippery mouse, expensive.
Good idea. Bad execution. Bad Price. It will frustrate you if the receiver is further than 4-5ft away from the board. The mouse slides off the board if it's not level. You're better off investing in a lapdesk and wireless keyboard/mouse combo. You can get both of these items for $75 total, $50 less than this.It looks sweet and I wished it worked better, but it just doesn't.

Major Ripoff
This thing is a heavy, clunky outdated piece of junk. It doesn't open all the way, the mouse is horribly inferior to even the cheapest USB mouse on the market. On mine, the left button just plain didn't work. The keyboard itself, folded, is even too small for my 11 year old daughter. It does however flip the actual keyboard up to a 45 degree angle from left to right. So, if you to like to type with the right side of your keyboard higher than the left, this is your keyboard.Bottom Line? $130.00 paper weight.
