Covering the tread area is black marine grade vinyl within a 90 lb rope casing.However, if you vehicle requires elastic installation, please contact us after your order has been placed.A note about ordering your tire sizeThe numbers 15, 16, 17 etc., refer only to rim size. Spare tire covers are custom made for your exact tire size, so please provide all the numbers on the sidewall of the tire.  Look for something like this example: P255/75r15 or 30x9.50x15.Have a hard shell?Although Tire Cover Central only produces soft covers, they easily slide over your existing hard shell.  Rather than your tire size, please provide the following measurements: the diameter at the widest point of the front circle and the depth of the hard shell.  Also, make sure your can get your hand in back of the hard shell cover. Our standard production uses rope, so let us know if you would prefer elastic instead.Easy to follow installation instructions will be included with your cover.

Really sets off our rig
We ordered this for the spare tire cover of our new (to us) motor home. We have friends with tire covers from the same company and were originally thinking about getting one of the light house themes. When we saw this one, we both just laughed and said, "Yup, this is the one." The covers are made to order based on your tire size, they come with instructions for putting them on your spare and they are well made. We love our cover and all our friends like it too.

Takes a bit of work to stretch it out to get a good fit.
I love the cover. Cracks me up every time I look at it. I think they could modify it a little bit to make the mounting/securing of the cover a little easier. 2 ropes at the bottom plus a zip-tie is a pain in the ass ! And make sure you have a couple zip-ties in your vehicle because you'll need a new one every time you take the cover off.

Good but dissapointing
When I slipped the the zip tie through the grommets and pulled ever so slightly, the holes( grommets) broke. The cover is awesome. Beautiful colors etc.... But it's not so hard core. Careful when tightening it. It may just break on you. The rope is still valid. I just have to tighten it much more since that entire zip tie through the grommet thing failed miserably. Not very satisfied. I got it, applied it and it broke. Sux
