Great C# Book
Lots of books struggle to teach Object Oriented Programming and it's the first time I clearly understand the concept by using this book. Once I started reading Visual C# 2015 by Joyce Farrell, I could not let it go and I am almost done reading cover to cover. There's a ton of examples in this book. Along the way, I have attempted to modify the codes to incorporate what I have learned in previous chapters to test myself which is part of learning. There are a few minor typos that I would like to have the author correct but could not reach her in her page. Anyway, these are minor and if corrected would make the book perfect.page 396 - missing "." aBook.Price = -aBookPrice; // should be aBook.Price = -aBook.Price;page 398 - The Sort() method accepts an array parameter and arranges its elements in descending order. --> should be ascending orderpage 406 - public int idNumber {get; set;} ==> should be IdNumberpage 519 - in the try block there is an extra quote (") in the Enter an item number.page 666 - under Truncate(), "opended" should be "opened"

Love Joyce's books!
Clear & easy to understand the concepts. But if you have prior Java knowledge, it may seem a bit remedial. If you are a beginner to programming this is perfect. Don't hesitate to get the book. (I also have Joyce's Programming Logic and Design book- which again, is a beginner book. Read this before the C# book and you will get the whole concept behind programming.)

Excellent Introductory Book
This book teaches everything you need to know for C#. I primarily used this to learn Console and Windows Form and this does the trick for me.

Spent around $40 to rent this book on Kindle for 4 months instead of a $140 text book from my school book store. Thanks amazon!

Great book for teaching students to program
Great book for teaching students to program!!! The only improvement would be if they allowed you to download and/or purchase the solution files.

C# language is beautiful and comprehensive, this book isn't.
Not my favourite book; C# is one of the most advanced programming languages in the world and very feature rich. and the book is too brief on topics throughout the book, it does not measure up to the Deitel books which have many examples and more thought-out examples. Moreover, because of how C# moves quickly, this book will be outdated soon. If you MUST buy it for a course, then buy it, but you must go onto stackoverflow to figure out 70% of your actual coursework, and expect to buy other books C# to make more sense with greater explanations.
