Love this book! So very helpful in fulfilling my Maid of Honor duties!!

I gave these (and received one) as a bride and bridesmaid. There are tons of online resources now for weddings, but it is nice to have some tips and tricks in one handy little book. It also makes a cute gift when you ask your girls to be in your wedding!

This book is honestly kind of inane. It's not groundbreaking, certainly, and I didn't expect it to be--but I think a modern bridesmaid will get a lot more out of common sense and a Pinterest list than she will out of this book. If you are an absolute newbie, however--as in, never been a bridesmaid, never been to a bachelorette party, never been to a bridal shower--then this is a nice, brief, overarching introduction to your role.I was a little put off by the constant--CONSTANT--reminders to go along with the bride's vision of the day, even as that vision negatively impacts your budget or your own sanity. I think this spending/costs is the number on issue with bridesmaids and brides, and this book did not offer any practical or unique suggestions for when to draw a line, when to back down, when to compromise, and when to suck it up. The general advice was always "suck it up." As a bridesmaid, sometimes you'll have to. But ... friendship is a two-way street, and you shouldn't be cowed by the bride OR this book.And thus my final impression: if you're a bride, and want your bridesmaids to feel pressured and/or want to ensure their absolute compliance with all your plans, buy this book for all of them. If you're a bridesmaid, do not be intimidated by this book; you are not a bad friend just because you cannot afford to attend & give a present at six pre-wedding parties.

but I can tell you that they are using this thing. I just got a text from one the other day with a picture of this that said "just doing a little reading". I was a little nervous to give this to them because I didnt want them to feel that I felt that they didnt know how to be bridesmaids. But they seemed really excited when they received it and have told me they've used it.

Got this as a gift for my bridesmaids and they really enjoyed it. Helped them get excited about the wedding and all the upcoming events. Had really good planning info too.

This digital book was listed at $0 through kindle unlimited but I was charged $9.59. What a crock.

I was asked by my best friend to be her bridesmaid and of course I agreed.But as in Germany the customs are different I got this book to get familiar...It give tips, examples and helped me through the whole time beeing a brides maid / maid of honour...
