Best method for getting your stomach back!
This is hands down Best method for getting your stomach back after having a baby! Focuses on building your transverse muscles to hold your abdomen in after tearing your lining that used to hold all of your internal abdominal parts in place before your stomach muscles separated from pregnancy. No other method works. Don’t do crunches!!! This book shows you how to do half crunches to avoid making your diastasis recti worse!

great information, but not exactly what I expected
Don't get me wrong - the information in this book is great, but it doesn't really give you a great timeline of when to do what exercises, which was something I expected. I have heard its better if you also get the dvd, but I wish the book was a little more informative in that respect. I have heard the dvd is kind of ancient, and something you'd just watch once or twice to get the right idea. I feel that the pictures in the book are good enough for me to learn how to do the exercises, but that's just me.I also thought bits of the information were probably a bit mis-leading, as in maybe she's just slightly full of herself bc she believes in this so much (believing in yourself is a good thing, acting like your method is the be-all, end-all is crap). She says things like if you get out of bed or sit/stand up the 'wrong' way, you'll 'undo 3 weeks of the exercises!' Hogwash! I'm sorry, but I just don't buy it. Getting up or down the wrong way ONCE is going to mess me up? I didn't purchase this book in order to be completely brainwashed in the Tupler Technique of how do do every.little.thing. in my life.Negatives aside, I have already noticed changes in my diastasis, and for the better. So the exercises DO work, are fairly easy, and are effective. I can't say anything about the whole program, as I still have some work to do.

works great
Book arrived within time allotment, but got here kinda slow nonetheless, so it was kind of annoying, but it did get here, so I guess I can't complain too much! It's a great book. My mom has already noticed I'm "slimming down" and I have hardly done what the book recommends. It is hard work. Not just easy peasy, at least, in my opinion. But my tummy is looking better and back is a little stronger, so it must be working!

Worked for me after 8 kids including twins
This book is full of great information. I bought it after baby #5 and it worked. I used it again after I had twins and it worked and it is working again after baby #8. I took the exercises I wanted and could focus on and did those. I learned to do them while driving and I learned proper technique while doing other exercises. I was careful about the way I got up and down, I learned to measure my diastasis and I learned to keep my belly tucked in. I highly recommend this book. You don't have to do everything she recommends to get results, but the more you do, the quicker the results will come!!

mummy tummy review
Some of the exercises in this book were good but Tupler made a number of comments about the negative effects of some pilates exercises. The comments were inaccurate and showed that she had a very limited and incorrect understanding of that discipline. She commented that the Pilates hundred will cause diastasis of the abdominal muscles. When done correctly in a neutral pelvis this exercise will actually correct diastasis. It will only make it worse if it is practiced incorrectly. Her lack of knowledge on this subject, that she commented on over and over, really made me question her knowledge on everything else.

Impractical, Unhelpful
I bought this book on the advice of my doctor when I was diagnosed with Diastasis Recti after my second baby, but wish I hadn't. I can only blame post-natal hormones for such an impulsive buy. In fact, I even bought the entire $100 workout set that goes with it from the website. What a waste of time, money and effort.Like other posters have said, the advice contained is both impractical and unhelpful. It's basically: suck in your belly. All day. All the time. No matter what. If you have had a baby in the past year or have other small children underfoot, this is completely useless. What's more, Tupler tries to make it more complicated than necessary. She has several steps for different exercises, and each step is further broken down. There is so much to keep track of it's insane, and on top of that she drills into you that if you miss even one step or sub-step or sub-sub-step, or do them at all wrong, you will not only undo all your other hard work but will actively harm yourself. What new mother needs to hear that? What person at all needs to hear that???Tupler is excellent at self-promotion, but IMO she's just trying to shove her method down your throat. She would have you believe that if you don't get a six-pack stomach after using her method to the letter for six months, it's your own fault. Again, who needs to hear that? Especially right after having babies?Once I gave up on this garbage I got a prescription for physical therapy, went to six sessions, learned how to properly retrain my abdominal muscles and hip flexors, and that was it. My PT had nothing but bad things to say about the Tupler Technique, and assured me no one needs to concentrate on their abs all day and night like this. She also told me I mostly just need to focus on a few easy exercises a day and avoid jackknifing up from my back.I wish I had never heard of the Tupler Technique.

Awesome results!
This is a great book! I ordered 'Lose Your Mummy Tummy' a few weeks ago and have seen fantastic results. I have had four children in seven years and after the last one a year ago my body has not bounced back. These are the only exercises where I've seen changes and seen them rapidly. In addition to these exercised I have started running again and that in conjunction with the ab work has been a wonderful transformation.I've been using a splint and have noticed my hernia above my belly button greatly reduced. I'm not sure if this will reduce it or completely heal it.

Tecnica Tupler

excellent and essential book for women considering pregnancy, during it and post partum
Really good program, only one I've found to address diastasis recti. All women should read this before getting pregnant, would have saved me a lot of grief if I'd known the correct way to treat my tummy.

Brilliant technique, better abs now than before I got pregnant!!
After giving birth I was more than a little gutted to find that my previously washboard abs had been split down the middle during pregnancy. I was told to attend a Physio clinic at the hospital, but not until after my six week check up. Do in the meantime I bought this book and got to work on the exercises. The exercises themselves don't look like much and most of the key ones can be done sat on a chair with you appearing, to the outside world, like you're not really doing anything. However, the exercises concentrate on small but very controlled movements which, if followed correctly, are incredibly effective. When I eventually went to the Physio clinic which was at about 10 weeks after the birth they were amazed that the previously 4finger gap in my tummy muscles had reduced to bearly a 1 finger gap. They put me straight on to their more advanced exercises and were happy to send me away with the clear to go back to other abdominal exercises that I had been going before pregnancy.I still do the Tupler exercises alongside my other workouts with things like planks and crunches etc but I think if anything, I now perform these moves better as I have a greater understanding and awareness of how to use my abdominals correctly and I think overall, because I have strengthened my previously neglected transverse abdominals, my core is now stronger than ever. I'm still only 7 months post natal now.I have recommended this book to a number of female friends who both have and haven't had children themselves but for one reason or another have always struggled to get flat abs. I think that the technique taught in this book is absolutely key in getting the flat, toned and strong core that most women long for!
