Unique function watch that does as advertised!
I purchased this in 3/2016 for a family member (MIL) in her 70's. She relies on this watch to remind her to take medicine. I am a technical guy in my 40's... I sympathize with folks that dislike this watch! At same time, I challenge them to find another that can compete with its seemingly unique alarming function. When I received the watch, the users manual had font too small for me to read (let alone MIL). This problem was alleviated by sourcing a digital copy online, increasing font size, then reprinting (MIL is wise, but this is too technical for her). A readable users manual is a must have unless the person configuring the watch loves technical puzzles and/or thinks like a software developer that isn't English speaking. The watch configuration isn't intuitive, but the steps in the users manual do well to instruct. Note that I haven't handed watch configuration duties to MIL, so don't have her 2nd opinion difficulty for "technically challenged." Once configured, the watch I purchased has been reliable. I've had to revisit its configuration several times as her medicine schedule changes and I recall the process ok. The battery that came with the watch lasted approximately 1 year with watch vibrating alarm 5 times a day--this beat my expectations as the vibration of alarm is intense! I dreaded receiving the watch from MIL after one year to replace the battery... and my dread was justified. Replacing the battery on this watch is a nightmare. To perform battery replacement, one needs jeweler specific tools--good lighting, magnification, small (jeweler type) screwdriver set, and patience. I was successful at one replacement, but broke the gasket that provides water resistance in the process (MIL won't be exposing watch this way, steel plate provides sufficient protection in my use case anyway... For the current price of this watch, it's arguably worth the time to replace battery vs replacing watch. I had the tools, the battery, and hate to waste... I'm considering purchasing another for MIL though as a backup. In a nutshell, I haven't found a competing watch type device that can do this type alarming for the price. Considering the price of this watch and the relative price of everything "medical" this watch provides a specific, valuable, solution. Even if someone technically challenged needed to maintain this watch, it would seem in their best interest to purchase the service of someone "technically savvy" to maintain the watch for them.Until the market demands competition, this watch is a winner at what it does! Good luck, and Take Care!

We talked about what getting thewatch would mean and let him choose the color
Bought this for my son (age 4.5) who's idea of needing to go to the bathroom was that he couldn't hold it anymore. We talked about what getting the watch would mean and let him choose the color. When it arrived, I programmed it for the alarm to go off in about 15 minutes and put it on him while he was playing before dinner. The watch buzzed (love that feature) and he just got up and went to the bathroom. Since then, he has not had any major accidents and only a few minor ones. We need to be aware of where we are when his watch is going to buzz but thus far it has worked great. He even uses it in preschool. Being able to lock the watch is a great feature too. Kids can't reset the time when they fiddle with it. Plus. he's very interested in learning to tell time not as well.God bless operant conditioning. The one drawback is the band. It is not designed for the smaller wrists of the preschool set.

The alarms work great, easy to manage
My daughter has issues with the way her body was formed with her bladder/urine tube/etc. Because of this she has been in and out of the doctors since she was 8 months old - now 5. We have been doing biofeedback therapy to help her bladder gain a stronger control over her system. She is now working very hard at it and this watch has been a very big help with that. The alarms work great, easy to manage, set, lock, etc. My daughter is in school, so having the watch just vibrate when it is time to go works out great. She feels the vibration and says ok - its time to go. Although she is old enough to know to go, unfortunately because of how her insides were developed she doesn't know until it is too late. So we have a program now set to where every 1 1/2 hrs the alarm goes off and she know to go try to go to the bathroom. You can set this alarm to whenever you want. We set it to work around her classes at school. Amazing thus far and so happy we have it. Thank you for this great design!*The only thing I wish was better is that my daughter is young so she has the watch filthy already. Trying to figure out a way to keep it cleaner.

A Serious Flaw That Should Be Made Known Prior to Purchase
I purchased this watch July 24th 2018. I reassured my daughter it would not beep so she wouldn't get embarrassed. She was with a bunch of friends with a sitter yesterday (Nov 4th) and the watch started beeping continually, and nobody was able to get it to stop . They wrapped it in a blanket and stuck it in a backpack, and it was still beeping hours later. I had to remove the battery (not easy baby the way) to get it to stop. So much for my 5 year old not being embarrassed. I contacted the company prior to writing a negative review to request a refund ( since it's under warranty for 6 months from purchase) and was told this:"This means that the battery is about to die. When the battery gets really low it will basically get stuck trying to go off at one of the set times. The watch uses a CR2032 battery and will need to be changed every 2-3 months. There are step by step instructions on the back of the instruction manual on how to change the battery. Please let me know if I can help any further."I won't be using this watch any further as this is a severe flaw, and now my daughter has to risk this happening again at school if I don't switch the battery out BEFORE it gets low. So I'm just out the money since they consider this just a normal function of the watch, and not a flaw.UPDATE1: I requested the ability to return again and was told that I could. I'll update again if I get fully refunded for this.UPDATE2: The company did refund my money.
