I should have read the product description and reviews before I purchased this item. It is tiny. The whistle does not work at all. The flashlight and emergency flasher are very dim. I did not test the seatbelt cutter or the glass breaker. I would not want to rely on this product in an emergency. I would not recommend this product.

I wrote the following in an e-mail to the company on 11/20/13, but received no response:Unfortunately, I cannot say I'm 100% satisfied with this product. The flashlight/SOS light stopped working in just a few days after I attached my car key to it. There is no way to carry it in a pocket or a purse without inadvertently pushing the button which turns the light on, so I'm guessing the battery died.I have not tried the tire gauge, as I didn't get the chance before the battery died. Also, I cannot seem to figure out how to use the whistle. It detaches easily enough, but I haven't found a way to blow into it which produces any sound at all.I can't say I feel truly confident that the tool will work on cutting a seat belt or breaking auto glass, but I'll keep carrying it I suppose, unless and until I can find a better product.I'm disappointed, but wanted to give the company a chance to address my concerns before leaving the above as a review on Amazon. I hope you can provide convincing reassurance that the cutter and glass-breaker will work as those are the primary reasons I wanted the tool in the first place. But it seems a design flaw to have the flashlight and gas gauge buttons be so easy to turn on that they stay on too often/long and kill the battery.

I ordered this as a gift for my husband who is an EMT. While the idea of it was fantastic, the seat belt cutter portion was missing its blade. It won't work very well without the blade ;-) I had to send it back. I am contemplating whether to get a replacement or not.

This device will fit into the palm of your hand. I can't give it five stars unless I find myself in an emergency and have to use it. I cannot get the whistle to blow and the light seems very dim. It doesn't come with good directions for usage.

Sometimes light turns on from contact with items in my pocket or purse. "Whistle" does not work, but I think they really had to find a way to protect the seat belt cutter and as an after thought they tried to make a whistle out of the cover...Not a function I am concerned with. Mainly wanted the cutter and the glass breaker. For that, it is perfect.

Broke within a week just hanging on my keychain. Would not recommend!

I really wanted the window breaker feature, but other than pulling off the red protective cover and physically slamming the pin into the glass (not great for an older person with muscle weakness), I got no response from the button supposed to trigger the pin. The flashlight worked, but I could get that elsewhere, better. I bought some for gifts but I don't want to pull the battery strip on them all to see if they work before I give them. I'm very disappointed

I have tested every aspect of this escape tool (except for the window hammer as I did not have any tempered glass and didn't want to break my car windows), and I can say that this still needs some work. The flashlight is okay. It could be brighter. You don't have much distance with it or range. As for the distress signal, I really don't know how far away someone could see it. It's not as bright as it could be, and it's not a very big light either. It's powered by one small LED bulb with a lens a little bigger than an eraser head. The tire PSI gauge did work. I already have a digital PSI gauge, but I guess it is a little convenient to have it on your keychain. I could not get the whistle to work at all. I tried it every way possible and only got air. So the whistle function was a bust. The seatbelt cutter could be sharper. I tried it on my husband's old car he wrecked. And while I did manage to make it through the seatbelt, it took some force and time. If you're in a car that has wrecked into water, time is something that you are on short supply. With a sharper blade, this may cut down some of the time and force required.Overall, this escape tool is subpar to me. With the whistle not working, the light being so-so, and the blade being not so sharp, there is definitely room for improvement.I got this product free for my honest review. This is my opinion after receiving and testing this product myself.
