Customer service is top tear I had a broken hose barb that was for the water cooling I asked them to send me a new hose barb and they sent me the whole cylinder head it started first pull after repair and has run great since

The media could not be loaded.  This motor is literally a steal at this price. Makes a decent amount of power, has no problem kicking me and my two boys down the lake at 6 miles an hour in a 12 foot John boat. But, you’ve got to break this thing in, I broke mine in for four hours in a trashcan, filled with water at 1/4 power, then for two hours at 1/2 power, then for two more hours at 3/4 power. You’ll have to change the water in your trashcan quite a few times because it gets too hot. Also, this motor does not come with gear oil, pick yourself up some gear oil and fill the gearbox behind the propeller with the oil. Also, do not use gasoline with ethanol in this motor, find ethanol free gas and mix it with high quality marine two stroke oil, I use Lucas.

I was worried that this was going to be a piece of junk, so not the case. This is a great little motor and a very easy break in process. Make sure to put gear oil in before you start it, other than that I’m very pleased!!

This motor never worked. It came without instructions to fill with oil prior to running. We researched first online to discover this-thankfully. While we had much back and forth correspondence with the company, they couldn't solve the issue of the propeller not turning. We were told to take it to a dealer locally to fix it and they'd reimburse us. So we returned it since a new motor shouldn't need repair.

Stay away from this hangkai 3.5 outboard. The handle broke then the rope broke then the motor mount broke and the complete time water was leaking into the lower unit all within a month. I tried to return it (and the seller Donsu) requested photos. Which I considered appropriate and provided. They determined from the photos it had been misused and declined to refund. I am a mechanic and can make any motor run but I cant make faulty material stay together. Amazon however stepped up and took care of business. God Bless the U. S. A. After extensive negotiations Donsu agreed to resolve the matter in a acceptable manner. Thank you

Don't forget to put gear oil and properly break in the motor. Some people say 35:1 but I used what the manual said 32:1. Johnson gear oil. It's worked great for me. Idk, if I'll switch to 50:1 until another summer of use. Wear hearing protection btw.

Prop doesn't spin water pump doesn't work and it was damaged in shipping. When I called all they said was we will email you about this.

I bought a new one when it starts starte but it the Elis does not work this was a waste of money I do not recommend it
