Actual condition of item not as expected
Condition of this item was listed as used. Very good, but it really looks like it fell on the floor, and then something really heavy, was placed on top of it and then it was drug across the floor. I can see the imprint of something heavy pressed into the book, and the inside cover is all dirty. Still, totally readable, but i would rate condition as fair or maybe good, definitely not very good.

A quick gem
This book reminded me in about 30 minutes that life doesn't and shouldn't be a struggle. Once I find acceptance within myself, I no longer need to look for it in outside circumstances.

A nice little gem from Stuart Wilde.
First off, I'd like to address most of the reviews here as laughable. Particularly the reviews from those bashing a book that's 50 pages long and disappointed that the solution to wonder hunger, famine, AIDS, and cancer isn't in a book of this size. Really now? At any rate. I've ACTUALLY READ the book and have come to a few conclusions about it. First, it is not a book that is going to change your life. I've found the nature of a lot of self-help/inspirational books is that you take a bit from everyone you read and begin to apply it to your life. Bashing a 50 page book for not being "deep enough" or "wonderfully insightful" is childish. That's not what Wilde is trying to do with this book. Wilde is trying to get the reader to question his or her basic assumptions about the world and to identify what areas of life they are struggling in. While Wilde's solutions aren't as in-depth as I would like, I realize at the same time that that's the entire point of this book. It's not meant to be one of those door-stoppers that is 400/500 pages long and breaks down problems chapter by chapter. Those books are nice to an extent, but books like these are exactly what I need sometimes when I don't feel like re-reading the more extensive books out there. Sometimes, I just need a quick reminder on an idea I read long ago or a quick reminder on how to identify/change some stressful areas in my life. I think in this sense, people are disappointed because they expect too much out of a book that barely cracks 45 pages.Don't expect too much. Read this book for what it is - a nice, affordable, and well-written book that should serve as review material for a lot of people who can learn things from this book. For the cost of $4-5 with shipping, what have you really got to lose?-Travis

Concise and Very Useful Advice--But Be Careful
I bought the audio book first of this work and listened to it over and over, so that by the time I bought the book, I could hear Wilde's voice exhorting me through the text every time I read it. The advice is sound, especially the part about living your life in the "flow" rather than struggling in a "model of inefficiency". But the part about "looking for the exit" whenever a challenging idea comes into your mind rather than "setting yourself up for a glorious disaster" could serve to discourage you from taking a risk on anything. It's interesting to note that Wilde tours with Wayne Dyer, another motivational speaker, who has written the book, "Excuses Begone" which gives the exact opposite advice that Wilde does--to take large risks despite inner doubts. Maybe they wanted to cover all the bases. Wilde does advise to evaluate risk-taking from a practical perspective, and doesn't completely discourage it.

If you struggle in life, get this book!
This book is short but to the point. If you not just read this book, but ask yourself the questions in it and answer them, this book might just help you achieve your goals. I say might because I just finished reading it and haven't sat down to ask myself the questions in regards to my current goals. Stuart Wilde has a knack for being concise in the books I've read so far of his. Highly recommend reading more of his books as well.

Short, sweet and to the point.
Yet another beautiful little book by the great Stuart Wilde. I'm a huge fan of his and all the work he has done, so I may be a little biased, but I am certainly happy with my purchase! Stuart once said he likes books that get right to the point, as they should if the author knows what they are talking about, and this certainly is that.

A Wake Up Call
50 pages on Kindle so a fast enjoyable read. A wake up call and flash back where I recall moments in my life where things were just so easy and everything seemed to flow with the rhythm of my life yet I admit I felt unsettled with that feeling and would begin to jeopodise that flow as it just does not feel right not to struggle a little bit. NO!!! Live Was Never Meant to Be a Struggle.

If you are looking for an entertaining self help guide, this book is for you.
If you get through teh first 10 pages of self help books and need help..well put them down and give this one a go instead. If you like the writer to get to the point then this author is for you. Stuart Wilde can make some seriously complex ideas more comprehensible. What stands out is his wit and very black and white approach. He is like the physics teacher that makes physics seem fun and easy. If you want to learn about how to improve and take control of your life this book is worth a read. I have read many of Stuart's other books and his style is easy to understand and very entertaining. Life really isn't meant to be a struggle and this comes out in his style of writing.
