Description
- Seeds for Lisianthus! It is herbaceous annual with slightly juicy leaves and large, funnel-shaped flowers that grow on long, straight stems.
- Lisianthus (also called eustoma or Japanese rose) are long-growing and only once-flowering plants.
- Sow seeds at the beginning of spring. Although Lisianthus is known as a warm weather plant, colder temperatures can actually help develop stronger roots. Plan your seeds in the ground 12-13 weeks after the last winter frost. If frost temperatures pose a threat, cover the beds with an insulated frost blanket to view them.
- Water the seeds daily. They need a lot of moisture to start germinating. Spray only enough water to wet the top layer of soil without fully saturating it. The thirsty roots will absorb the moisture that needs to be replenished once the soil dries up.
- Make sure that the plant gets a lot of indirect sunlight. Place your lisianthus where it can be partially exposed. It takes about 8 hours of sunlight per day.
