Great for 8 year old
My 8 year old daughter is really enjoying this series. It is a nice break from all the scary fantasy books she normally loves.

My daughter was ecstatic to get this as a gift.
My daughter loves this series and has asked for all of the books in this series. She's 7 and read it entirely on her own. She can't wait to get her hands on the rest of the series.

Pony camp diaries
This is a nice short tale for any kids who love ponies and drawings. The girl of the story is Megan who seems about 11 or 12 but she is just one of a little group of girls who have come to a pony camp stay for a week in England. Megan has been a bit shy in class and has been given the slow pony at her riding school. But she is determined that this week where nobody knows her, she will be brave and strong, and the lively pony Mischief will do as she asks. Only, not all the girls are pally, and nobody told Mischief...There are small drawings on every page like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A good start to the series with a short glossary at the end to explain horsey words like currycomb, pommel and manege. We also get a few more pages of explanation about ponies, like how to clean tack, and then a short excerpt from the next book about a girl who is afraid of jumping. Great value.I borrowed this book from Raheny Public Library. This is an unbiased review.

pony camp diary, M and M
I chose the rating of 2 stars as it was a bit boring really and there wasn't much description, I liked the illustrations and I would recommend this to any pony lovers around 7-9
