Now read a REAL review
I wish I had not fallen for the fake reviews that are so abundantly found for this product on Amazon. Had I checked the FakeSpot rating beforehand, I would have seen the F (lowest) grade for over 70% low quality reviews and moved on to another battery caseNow read a REAL review on my 4 months with this battery case for my iPhone 6 to make your own decision (+ are positive and - are negative experiences below): - VALUE: I paid $36 for this (it's up $2 when I write this). It is my first battery case and within a few weeks of buying it I found other much higher rated cases at lesser cost that I wish I had bought instead. So do your research before you add it to your cart. - FITTING PHONE INTO CASE: To place the phone into this case, you need to first slide the phone face forward onto the base of the battery cover until the lightning plug fits into the iPhone charging socket. You then put the border on top and snap it on to hold the phone and the case together. There are 3 snaps on each side of the case with 2 on top. There are no snaps at the bottom. The bottom has a slight opening through which you open the case using your fingernails with little to moderate force. + PLUGGING IN: The battery case charges with a micro USB plug. This can be both a positive or a negative. If you have already invested in lots of iPhone accessories with lighting plugs, this can be a major disadvantage but if you are surrounded by non-iPhone users this can be a big advantage as well. For me it was the latter.- ACCESSORIES: The case comes with 1 battery base (that's the main battery case) 2 borders, one is solid black like the battery base and the second is grey/translucent. I found the second one useless for my gold iPhone as it did not look good at all. 1 micro usb cable 1 headphone extension for the headphones. I rarely used it because I was easily able to push in and pull out the iPhone headphones despite the battery case covering about half an inch below the headphones socket. + BATTERY LIFE / AS BACKUP: Excellent. This was the saving grace for this cover. It charged the iPhone 6 from nothing to 100% and still had some juice left for another 10-15%. To start charging the phone, using the case battery you need to hold the small button at the back of the case for 2 seconds. There are 4 LED indicators that turn on when you do this. The number of LEDs that turn on out of these 4 indicates how much power the battery case has. So 4 LEDs turning on means the case has 80-100% power and 1 LED turning on means the case has 10-25% power. These LEDs turn off automatically after 5 seconds while the case keeps charging. When charging the phone, charging speed is about 1A, which is the same or slightly less compared to your wall charger. Once it starts charging (in 2 seconds) you get on to doing whatever you want to do without having to think about the phone being charged in the background. The battery case gets slightly hot when it is acting as a charger. - CHARGING the BATTERY CASE: sloooww! When plugged into a wall charger, both the phone and the case charge together. Getting to 70% battery (both) takes about 2-3 hours and 100% takes about 3-4 hours. During this time, one of the 4 LEDs at the back will blinking. Depending on which of the 4 blinks it will show you how much battery case has charged while the iPhone screen will show you how much the phone has charged. It is also possible to charge the case without the phone attached to it. - DURABILITY: Awful. Just plain awful. I have dropped the case with the phone in it 4 times from pocket height (like we all do), and each time the battery case, it's border and the phone have come apart going in different directions with several scratches and dents now visible on the phone because of this. The battery case itself has dents but not so visible on the solid black plastic. So, the phone is not in anyway protected with this case. + SILENT MODE: When in Silent mode, I have felt the phone vibrating as normal in the battery cover so this is a plus point. - WEIGHT / FEEL: The case makes the phone really heavy. It adds 8 ounces to the phone's 6.1 ounces so makes it 130% heavier. The usage is cumbersome because of this and you can feel the thickness and height of the cover in your pocket. When talking on the phone, feels like holding a large rock to your face. - FINAL VERDICT: GO elsewhere for a battery cover. There are lots on Amazon, but be sure to check the FakeSpot rating of the reviews before relying on Amazon's reviews alone.

It does the job but could be better
I read a lot of reviews for iPhone 6 battery cases and this one seemed to have really high ratings and I know the Spigen brand well so I settled on this one. I've had it for a few weeks and it works great, but there are a few issues I have with it. First, the way the front of the case snaps to the back of the case to secure the phone makes me nervous. It doesn't come unsnapped by itself easily, but it does creak and give a little when you're holding the phone. I feel like if I dropped the phone and it made contact with any of that outer plastic, the front plate would snap off and break. Secondly, i can't figure out why almost all the battery cases ever made have this curved back. It is so annoying when you set it down on a hard surface and any slight touch will make the phone spin like you're playing spin the bottle. It will also rock back of forth if you put pressure near the edges of the screen. Lastly, the whole case is covered in that rubbery material that is more slick than grippy. A lot of cases use that material, and through experience I've seen how it starts to peel off and look gross after a couple months. That hasn't happened yet on this one but I'm watching out for it. In summary, the case charges the phone great but because of these issues, it's no longer my daily case. I use an Elago Outfit Matrix when I'm out of the house and use the Spigen when I'm at home and need a charge away from an outlet. I'd like to see a company step away from the pack and make a case that isn't basically the same as the rest with only a few slight alterations.

Really solid, well built, and quality external battery case for iPhone 6S!
I bought this case because I was tired of my iPhone 6S running out of battery during a day away from a charger. Carrying an extra battery pack and cable is just too cumbersome, so I wanted an external battery pack case but didn't want to spend the high price tags for the more well known products out there. I had a Spigen case with magnetic vent clip and really liked the quality, so I looked up to see if they had a battery pack and they did!I've been using this case for several months now and have found it to be perfect when I know I'll be away from a charger for more than 8 hours. When it's fully charged, it can recharge my iPhone 6S about 1.5 times, more than enough to get through a full day of texting, photos, and pretty heavy phone usage. It seems to charge fairly quickly and will automatically shut off once the phone has reached full charge. However, if you are using your phone (like listening to music or using the maps while driving), it will continue to trickle charge since it can't quite get to the full battery level. The texture is smooth and has good feel in the hand, but I found it to be mildly slippery when compared with my other grippy Spigen case. Perhaps it was the added bulk from the battery, but it's nothing that can't be managed. The two different front face pieces was a good option to have and I've switched them up a few times, but I've noticed that one fits much better than the other so I tend to use the one that's easier to remove when I want to carry a thinner phone. The case is a bit thinner than the other Mophie cases that I've seen, but it will add noticeable bulk to your phone, especially if you carry yours in your pocket like me. I find it to be an okay compromise to be able to get through a full 16 hour day with heavy phone usage without adding a lot of bulk to a phone. This is the third Spigen product that I have purchased because I like the level of quality in their products, particularly for the price. I paid full price for these and have NOT received any products free or at discounts in exchange for review. I keep buying Spigen because I love them!

EXCELLENT
UPDATEI'd originally left a 5* review of this as I was really pleased with it (See below)...6 months later & it's completely dead. Seems reasonable to expect better longevity.__________________________________________________________________________You can't go wrong with this - especially at it's current Amazon price. It works well & is very well designed - tough construction, great ergonomics & pretty slimline for a charger case. There're a couple of things worth noting though...When connected to power, it will charge your phone first & then the charger-case which means not having to take the case on & off when charging using the USB cable supplied - which is great. However, it's a micro-USB port on the case, so you'll have to remove it to dock your phone with any device using an Apple lightning connector. As with the majority of charger cases, the headphone jack aperture in the case itself is only 6mm diameter, which whilst accommodating the Apple earphones that come with your phone, will necessitate using the supplied extension cable with any headphones that have either a large, a 45° or a 90° jack-housing.If there're any geeks out there like me that prefer to use high-quality, high-performance in-ear headphones but find this solution a bit clumsy & annoying, I recommend the B&O H3 for a well-balanced sound or the B&W C5 S2 for something with more bass-weight. Both of these are great performers & have a small jack-housing that will fit directly through the case.

Best Extended battery case
I've tried a few battery cases for phones. This case has been the best I've tried along with a zero lemon case I had for Galaxy S3. The case offers fairly good protection for phone. Phone fits well into the case which comes with two different surrounds. The soft matte case has a good feel to it and fits well in the hand. It offers decent grip unlike other cases. The lights at the rear of the case are not too bright and let you know how much battery life is left on the case. Battrry life is extended on phone by approximately 1.5 times the normal iPhone battery which is excellent.I would highly recommend this case. Adds a fair bit of size and bulk to the phone but then it does offer you around 1.5 times more battery, but I feel it's worth it. Only downside is the wee extended connection for the 3.5mm jack. An annoying thing to have to carry around in your pocket if you want to use corded headphones. Other than this, I would have given it 5 stars.Update:Been using this case every day now for over a week and I am so pleased with it. Extra battery gives me (medium/heavy user) well over 2 days of usage. You are able to top up phone battery anytime you wish by pressing the power button on rear of case. Can't recommend this case enough. It does add extra bulk and weight to the phone but then I like that. Feels a lot better and doesn't affect the functionality of the phone. Again, only downside I can see is the need for an extension lead for the 3.5mm jack.

Great case and good value for money
Just ordered my third one as the first one was broken completely protecting my phone from a 12ft drop onto concrete, unfortunately the second one I left on a bus journey due to one of the drawbacks being you have to take it out the case to play your music through headphones. Overall for the 8 months or so I have been using this product it has done me well. I like that when charging it you can simply charge the case and the case will charge the phone when it is fully charged so you never need to use a lightning port again! It does get annoying having to take it out the case to listen to music I will forfeit that, the extender that comes with the case is garbage. Both leads that I’ve had from my last two cases have broken within a day and had really bad quality audio before then. If you use airpods / bluetooth headphones or earbuds this is the product for you :)I particularly like that this is a hard shell case, I hate the feel of soft shell rubbery cases and its really easy to take the case off.A lot of the comments dont seem to like that this doesnt offer a lot of protection (it completely saved my phone so i cant relate) but this is a battery case not a protective case. If you are looking for a sturdy protective case, get a seperate battery pack as battery cases are seldom a very sturdy product.

iPhone 6 Battery issues solved!
Very pleased with this case. It's well made, sturdy and not too bulky although it is much thicker than standard cases. The battery recharges my phone (iPhone 6) very quickly and so I don't have to worry about taking a charger with me during the day. The facia detaches from the body of the case so you can plug the phone into your computer to sync and get (Apple) software updates. This is a little fiddly but gets easier the more times you do it. The in-built speakers are great and offer really good sound. The buttons for the Menu and Volume control are positive and easy to use. I would recommend this case to anyone who's fed up with their iPhone battery dying on them.

Superb case. Good with Pokemon Go.
I bought this case as I was sick of running out of battery during long working days.I put it on charge over night with my phone and both are fully charged by morning. I wait until my phone drops to 40/50% before recharging with the case. I find it is most efficient to do long charges with the case rather than multiple short charges.I downloaded Pokemon Go recently, the case helps magnificently with the battery drain of the game. I played for 5 hours straight before the case ran out and I was on iPhone battery with 100% remaining.
