My first review on Amazon to help others. It works.
This product works much better than others I have tried. I have black hair that I color ash blond at home. This product not only covered my black roots but also my gray hairs. It takes 3 min and stays until next wash.

Easy touch ups at a good price
I have used the Style Edit spray-on for nasty gray roots, it works but is difficult to get exactly where you need it to go. And it is expensive for as long as it lasts. When I saw this product, it just made sense. A little dabber sponge for applying a semi-powder? Yes. It does feel a little chalky but then so does the spray. I don't think there is anything you can spray for a cover-up on gray roots that won't leave a bit of a residue. The mileage you get out of this container is much better than the spray, and more portable. I can just pop it in my bag and touch up anywhere. The packaging is pretty genius, it even has a little mirror in the lid.Honestly I wish I would have invented this product myself.

Finally they expanded for redheads!
So happy they finally made a line for redheads!! Previously, I had to resort to another brand that had a great auburn color, but put glitter in their color (really annoying) and it had to be set with hairspray (also annoying), but not anymore. My hairdresser had tried one of the brown colors on me to show me how it worked, and I loved it then other than it didn't match my hair. This is now perfect, easy to use, stays on, a little goes a long way, doesn't need to be set with hairspray, and best of all, matches. To help others, I've included a picture of the color of my hair, and I got the "Light Red" - HOWEVER, unless Amazon fixes it, to get light red, you need to select "Red Georgeous [sic]", not light red. If you select Light Red you will receive Dark Red (at least I did and at the time the selection said Light Red but the description at the top of the page said Dark Red so I didn't know what it actually was, but you'd expect the actual selection option to be the most accurate, wrong. I've made Amazon aware of this, as well as their misspelling, so they may update it, so keep that in mind.

IT REALLY WORKS. Saves me money by extending the time between hair colorings!
THIS REALLY WORKS!!! The last time I went to the salon to hair my hair colored, it was done by someone new. She made my hair a medium brown color, much like my natural color of a few decades ago, although I had asked for a medium blonde color!! I like this new color, but the problem is-the whole crown of my head is predominately a whitish-gray!! So, as my hair has grown, there was a very visible demarcation of whitish-gray hair showing at my roots. From a distance, it looked as if I was bald there!! NOT A GOOD VIEW! So, for the first time, I tried a root coloring product, and after reading many reviews, I chose this one. And, it works! It has a little sponge on the bottom of the container that you use to rub on the hardened powder, and then you apply it to your roots. And it doesn't rub off on your clothes, fingers, or pillowcases!! It has enabled me to lengthen the time between colorings, thus saving me money. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that it does make my hair look a bit dry in the applied areas, but it doesn't really affect the overall look of my hair. One other use that I've found for it is to use a Q-tip to apply it to my eyebrows, which have also turned gray. I was always afraid to use any hair dye products on my eyebrows myself, because of fear it would get into my eyes. But with this product, since the powder is hard and doesn't sprinkle, I've found it works quite well. I don't suggest others should do this, since it's an off-label use, but I like it! I definitely will buy it again, although it seems as if it will last a really long time.

THIS STUFF WORKS
I guess I'm a latecomer to Style Edit Root Touch up (both the powder and conceal spray for light brown hair) and feel like I've been missing out! I love this stuff! I used to use Bumble and Bumble A Tint of Brown Hair Powder for the past 5 years.. It provided good coverage for my roots but the Style Edit products are superior and slightly cheaper. Style Edit looks much more natural. The Bumble and Bumble is more opaque whereas Style Edit blends well with whatever your color is and does NOT leave your hair feeling stiff (i.e. like you've applied a little bit of hair spray). I wash my hair 2-3 times a week so each Style Edit can last me a long time and to extend this I use the powder. I haven't been to my stylist for highlights since January (and we're almost to July). Note that I have dark blond and light brown framing highlights and light to medium brown hair. I have an allergy to hair dyes, even the supposed "all natural" ones" :-( :-( so I can never use an all over hair color anymore. I don't have the kind of allergy that sends some women to the ER with hives, etc., but my scalp blisters - yes blisters - when I've had my hair colored and my scalp itches something awful in addition to feeling like it's on fire. It wasn't always like that but slowly my allergy has worsened and my current stylist has told me I should never use hair dyes directly on my scalp again. My stylist uses blond and light brown highlights to hide/blend my gray and then I fill in with Style Edit between my visits. I don't have the harsh line of gray hair roots thanks to how my stylist does my highlights. After trying one can of Style Edit from my stylist's shop, I now order it by the bundle on Amazon. I am not allergic to Style Edit and have quite sensitive skin (I have eczema, etc.)
