I found the Lonely Planet Guide very useful although I was only in Brugges for two days. The bed and breakfast place recommended in Brugges was amazing. I would definitely go back there. There was one place I could not find, a shop. Perhaps it was called L' heroine ( I'm not sure) but there were plenty of other shops in that area.

Kindle Edition is poorly indexed and diffcult to navigate.
Love lonely planet paper editions from many years on the road. This is my first experience with the Kindle version. The information in the guide is good, if a bit outdated. We have been in Belgium for a month and have mostly done our traveling as tag-alongs with friends who are Flanders natives. They concurred with listings and highlights. The real let-down is that this book is very difficult to use as a kindle edition since it lacks any city listing or index in the table of contents. Finding an entry, even for for major cities like Gent or Antwerp, requires a laborious search and page through. A serious annoyance that happened every single time we wanted to use the guide. Not sure if i would purchase again.

You Won't Feel Lonely with this Guide
Lonely Planet has created an excellent travel guide with its book on Belgium and Luxembourg. These two oft-neglected countries are charming, delightful, and are absolute MUST VISIT countries on everybody's Europe travel list. The details are exacting, and the writers know what you should visit, and what's a little over-hyped. Lonely Planet has you and your overall travel experience in mind when it publishes a new travel guide, and this on is right on the mark.As America's International Travel Expert®, I know a bit about travel, and I'm always happy that I have a Lonely Planet guide with me -- you should too!Stuart Gustafson

Great book!
I love the lonely planet series and this book is no exception! I used the book only for travel in brussels, Ghent and Bruges and was impressed by the tips provided for each city. I only complaint about this book is that the maps were confusing and not at all helpful. The maps were oriented strangely and the keys were on opposite pages than the actual maps. That being said, the information was accurate and there was a great history section about each location.

Bought for a quick work trip to Brussels
I find the lonely planet series of guide books organized, concise and helpful. I have noticed a more recent trend where the writers seem to like the places to stay with more comfortable accommodations (and thus a bit more costly). I am not sure if that is because they are the better bang for the buck, or just like better places to stay.

Love to travel
I got this book for my girlfriend and she loves it! We're both fans of Lonely Planet and love the fact that we are able to get it on amazon. It helped us through China, Vietnam, Korea and other places, so Go for it.

More train information
wish it had more train related information (maps and times, at least the website), unless I missed it.

Very good
We are visiting the Waloon region of Belgium and the book supplies some very interesting information on the area. It is very well written and illustrated giving a wealth of information on hotels, prices, where to eat and what is worth visiting. All in all a very good purchase and obviously includes other areas with the same sort of very good information.

Useful guide
Only used for Bruges but gave a good summary of the city's attractions. One factual error we spotted - we spent ages walking to a restaurant which no longer exists.

I didn't like the maps very much
Generally informative and up to date. I didn't like the maps very much. I would have preferred bigger ones and in colour.

A good Lonely Planet product
It was as useful as I expect a Lonely Planet guide to be. It served its purpose well and I used its recommendations to my advantage.

While the content is fine it is not easy to navigate around
While the content is fine it is not easy to navigate around. While I an a great kindle supporter/user, I would by far prefer to have this is a standard book format.
