LOVE IT!
I am a teacher, and my students adore these biography Who Was/Is ..... series. I teach English learners, and they find these books interesting and easy to read. They are excellent books for elementary school students because they have illustrations and are easy to read. I have purchased more than 100 copies of this particular series, and students love them. They tell me that their siblings and parents read them too. I recommend that school and classroom libraries purchase these books for their students. I have students who never used to read books before, and now, they can't stop reading! I highly recommend these books for all kids!

Great series - hope more are published. Good historical research and bibliography for most books
am buying most of these books for 6-yr old; very detailed, easy to read a chapter or 2 at a time. Attention span too short to read entire book. But I loved all of them - I learned a lot about Jackie Robinson, Ben Franklin, Mozart, Dr. Seuss. Will buy more, please keep publishing!

So, you want your child to appreciate both a musical genius and the times in which he lived?
This was a happy accident. I had no previous knowledge of the "Who Was ...." series, and when I opened the book, much to my dismay, it was for children. I began to read, simply because I had invested the funds, and was more than pleasantly surprised at the effort (and the Kindle investment!). A very humanistic and sympathetic tale of the life of one of the giants of Music. I fully believe that if Mozart had lived to Bach's ripe age of 65, the course of music would have achieved stretching approaching atonality. The book is a fair and un-glossy story but told in a manner that children of all ages will find endearing. Coupled with a structured listening program, I think anyone would go away greatly impressed with this man's genius. A very quick read for an adult, but a very thoughtful one as well.

Perfect for biography reading lessons and report writing in 3rd/4th gr
I bought these for my third grade classroom. They are great for the biography genre and then to use for report writing. The three years I've used them so far the kids LOVED them. Easy for their reading levels, informative, and people they have heard of in their lives. They would read their own and then read other that they had heard of. Could have left these books out 1/2 year and they would have still been reading them.

The book is an excellent well-written life story of Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a very gifted musician and composer and every young reader of this book will be enriched by the story of his life.In his short lifespan of 35 years Mozart was a musical genius composing some 600 music scores, i.e., symphonies, and concertos. He is the preferred classical musician and composer of every serious classical music lover. The book is an excellent well-written life story of Mozart.

A gifted musician who started playing at the age of three
Amazing short biography of the legendary Western Classical Composer. At the age of five, he was able to play three instruments and even compose a music ! Within a short period of his life of 35 years, Mozart composed music which is still performed and enjoyed across world for more than 250 years.A very informative narrative of Mozart's life. Who Was series is indeed very informative and inspirational.

Really good series for kids
I love this series! They are great, easy-to-read, fact based biographies that my children have grown up with. Sacagawea was our first book because of my daughter's obsession and from there we moved to other strong historical women, such as Helen Keller and Amelia Earhart. Then we would find subjects to correspond with whatever my kids were studying at school. Really, really recommend this series!!!
