LG Electronics Music Flow H7 Wireless Speaker (2015 Model)

This product is great, now I would not have paid $400 for it when it came out as I don't think it's worth that price, but for the $80 I got it for, it is fantastic. I would be willing to pay up to $150 for this I believe. That being said, I'm not using this speaker for the wi-fi, I am using it for my projector as a home theater substitute since I just moved in to a new place and needed to improvise. I basically needed something that was small, portable and something I could easily put away when not in use. This speaker is perfect for that! I am even able to store this speaker along with the projector and many remotes and video game controllers in my ottoman which only increases the value of this speaker for me. Now, I have tested this speaker with bluetooth with my phone with various music tracks and it is very solid. It's not the loudest kid on the block, but the delivery is clean and even. The only downside is I wish there was just a little more bass as sometimes it doesn't get me into the music as much as I want. The real beauty of this speaker is just using it with a simple 3.5mm stereo cable and my projector (Epson 2045). It sounds AMAZING to the point where I have to turn it down to less than 40% of the volume. I don't know why this thing sounds so much louder on the 3.5mm feed than bluetooth, perhaps something to do with amplification somewhere along the connection, but I was blown away. I played Uncharted Lost Legacy and the bullets were loud and intense and the voice acting wasn't drowned out, it was crisp, clear and even. Now it doesn't get super low for explosions, but this little speaker will get you 90% of the way there and it's a fantastic option if you want something you can take out and put away, or on the go. I didn't just stop with gaming, I tested this speaker with VUDU using Taken and Mad Max and the audio was clean with no distortion even at very high levels. Now I would not recommend this speaker as a complete home theater replacement, I have a Vizio sound bar with wireless subwoofer and it sounds better with the lows, more full, but the LG H7 actually sounds clearer and cleaner. So it's a toss up with what you are looking for. I would give the edge the Vizio sound bar and woofer though. I would easily recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a house speaker, or a speaker for a projector that uses either bluetooth or 3.5mm.

I wish this thing had more bass. I dont have any problems with wifi and synching. The bluetooth is a little choppy. It's gets very loud and the clarity good.

These speakers work for a very expensive Bluetooth setup. However the wireless capabilities of these units are subpar. It's required that a mobile device on the wifi install and host their local service for group connectivity (using multiple speakers at once to play the same sound in sync). Even under optimal conditions with my tablet hosting their service and all devices less than 60ft away from wireless access points the sound still lags behind the video on my TV. Overall I would look somewhere else if you were like me and looking for a device to round out a Smart Home setup. If you're just looking for a bluetooth enabled speaker with a lot of watts and sound, then by all means try these out.

I like the most that my LG sound bars are connected with this Music Flow H7, which I kept it in the kitchen, so I can listen while cooking whatever is playing or broadcasting in main TV in family room. Basically, I use it as multiroom wireless speakers.The list thing I liked about it is you have to connect them using Music flow phone app each time you turn the speaker on. Excellent sound quality, so 5 start for that. 5 stars for streaming from cell phone using bluetooth connectivity. 4 star given for inconvenience of connectivity with family room/sound bar speakers. I haven't tried any other brand so can't really say if it's better or worse than others.

Low volume, low bass. It has good mids. Ok for multichannel sound with 2015 models. Not great as stand alone or surround. The mesh network is non existent. The Speaker is not recognized by wireless network or keeps disconnecting. It is ok as an ethernet connection or wifi speaker if you like cables. I would recommend any other speaker for the price.

This is a replacement unit for a My Cloud unit which was 3 years old and was no longer able to access it outside my home network. The set up is quite simple, and WD packed a lot of features into this unit. However, they have so many variations of this product that their documentation is very generic as they tried to address a number of products with a generic set of instructions. Furthermore, the desktop app comes with apps that do not work for the y Cloud Home devices. Why would anyone release apps that are not intended to be used with this mode is beyond me.

The speaker itself it outstanding. Terrific sound with great bass extension. Gets nice and loud, too. I have to admit though, that the multi room functionality of this speaker is lost on the complexity of its app. The LG Music Flow app is terrible. It's 10x more complicated to use than the Sonos app and it's a tremendous battery drain. It drained almost 100% of my battery in a matter of 2.5 - 3 hours. However, since this is a review of the speaker, no stars deducted. :)

I have a LG SJ8 sound bar, paired with two H7's, each with the latest updates as of the date of this review. The speakers work pretty well on their own, but as a group they work rather terribly. They constantly lose connection to each other, and reconnecting them back into group mode often requires manually disconnecting power and plugging them back in. It's immensely frustrating. On top of that, there is no bluetooth security. My neighbors have occasionally been able to hijack my speakers via bluetooth and there is nothing I can do to stop them.

The sound is good for the price. The bass is strong, but not as clear as other speakers. No connections problem with the workflow apps nor the google cast. The update firmware probably resolves the connection problem. I recommend it !
