Mochalight Joyoldelf Manfrotto 200Pl-14 Rectangular Quick Release Plate with 1/4", 20 Screw for Ball Head

This part looks like the original Manfrotto but when installed is slightly loose on the head making it completely useless. When compared to the original it is slightly different in the front. Ordered from Amazon thinking it was an original part, but when it did not fit I went to my local pro photo supply store and got an original which came in a nice manfrotto packaging, and fits great. The part listed on Amazon is a useless knockoff that comes in a tiny plastic bag, no instructions or warranty paperwork like the original. Save yourself the trouble and do NOT get this part it is useless.

Definitely aftermarket, not authentic Manfrotto, but the size was an exact match to my original, and so the fit is perfect. The collapsible wing-nut for tightening is not as good as the original, though. It's made with thinner wire, and it's narrower, so that it's harder to get a good grip for a tight fit. Whoever mounted the bolt also put both washers on the camera-side, so that the first time I used it, the bolt head with the collaspible wing-nut screwed too far in, so that the wing-nut piece was binding against the plate, making it impossible to get a tight fit. After I realized they put the washers on wrong, I simply removed the top on that slips on, and then put the other washer underneath the plate, so that it rests against the bolt head, leaving just the slip on washer on the top (camera) side. This completely fixed the problem with the wint-nut binding, and gave me a solid functional second plate. I've had no problems with it since, and I'm happy with it.

don't buy... how hard is it to find a tripod mount?? apparently pretty difficult, cause this one does not fit my Manfrotto tri-pod.the screw in on the very bottom is very inaccurate, and it always mounts sideways on my canon DSLR. i would just suggest going to best buy, or your local camera shop and testing it out.thank god this is cheap. or id be really mad

Wish I'd read the reviews. This is useless - it will not tighten onto a camera. The metal loop used for tightening bottoms outs before the plate is fully attached to the camera.EDIT: To make it work correctly remove the holding washer and the silver washer from the top side of the screw. Move the silver washer to the other side of the plate and replace the holding washer on the bottom.

Will not tighten all the way down by use of the twist handle and are loose when fully tightened. To tighten them, you have spin the whole plate and hope it lines up. Even then, the twist handle will not go down all the way. Unfortunately, this is kinda what you get when buying an off-brand product. Hopefully they can fix these issues, as the price point is very nice.

Not even close to OEM (Monfrotto) plates. The cast base is fine, but the screw and in particular the bail, or hoop if you will, is very cheap, and not even well attached to the screw. See photo. Why hang a $2000 lens from this cheap imitation? I returned these and bought the real Manfrotto plates.

I bought this mounting plate naively thinking it was an OEM part. Initially, I had no problem when using it on my ball-head Manfrotto mount. It was a nice tight fit and did the job. But ... when I switched heads to a Manfrotto X-PRO 3-way head, the plate's shortcomings became manifest. I discovered that it is not as thick as the genuine article and as such would not lock tightly into place but would wobble around in the tripod head. It is now fulfilling a role to which it is better suited, namely landfill.

We receive one which is not the original part for Manfrotto. and it doesn't work. After screw to the bottom of the camera, it can not secure to the tripod. check out photo enclosed. compared the original part which is in gray color. But the one we received is black.

A mio giudizio un ottimo prodotto, praticamente uguale all'originale.Personalmente non ho riscontrato alcun difetto e in tutte e due le piastre che ho acquistato l'aggancio è perfetto con tutte le mie teste Manfrotto e non si è mai sganciata la vite di serraggio.Durante sessioni di shooting in esterna con molti accessori (slider etc.) e treppiedi diversi a volte mi capita di lasciare in giro delle piastre; questo prodotto è una valida alternativa e consente di avere qualche piastra di riserva senza spendere un capitale.

Prodotto buono ma la vite è piccola e non fissata bene gli ho dovuto fare una modifica ma per arrangiare è buono
