I actually brought some friends over after I brought the strings, and they complimented the sound. All the other strings I've used during my years of guitar playing were just cheap $4 or $5 strings. After using Elixir once, I don't find myself using any other strings than this. Also, I have had these strings on for about 4 months now and there is little to no sign of rusting. This is really amazing because all the previous cheap strings I've used usually rust in about 1-2 weeks. I'd definitely recommend buying this. Since the thick strings make the playing a bit difficult, I'd recommend you buy the lower gauges if you're a beginner because they are lighter and still sound the same as this one.

I was very excited about moving to these strings. But I hated playing on it. To my ears it felt like the sound lost all its warmth. Maybe I should've tried the light ones, but these were too hard to play. It nearly made me stop loving my guitar. The thing is you do it and see if you enjoy it. There's no right or wrong way. Just see if you're enjoying it. This one wasn't for me.
